We had a wonderful experience with Hofmann. From the extremely talented architect (Dana) to the teams that worked on every part of the build, to the recommended contractors for painting, we were pleased. The architect took our vision and added her expertise to create our dream home. It was excellently executed by quality craftsmen. Having the entire process done through one company saved us a lot of time and energy. I couldn't imagine doing it any other way. Every day that I pull up to my home, I look at it with love and gratitude.Highly recommend.

We did a gut renovation with Hofmann Design Build and had a great experience. His team was professional, responsive and did high quality work. They never cut corners and included us in all the choices, guiding us the whole way. Their prices were fair and comprable to other builders in the area. They were also very helpful in our kitchen design. I would use them again and highly recommend them.

Ernie and his team are the best in the business. Our home was gut renovated from top to bottom during Covid and looking back, I don't know how we were able to pull off what we did but I'm sure we couldn't have done it without Hofmann Design Build.Ernie is one of the most professional and patient people I've met. He listened to our needs and worked with us throughout the course of the project. Most times you find that people who sell the project, disappear after work starts. Not so with Ernie.Steve, our project manager, was equally amazing. He and his crew worked relentlessly to finish the project despite multiple subcontractor and material shortages. The quality of their work speaks for itself as whoever comes to our home remarks on how beautifully everything turned out.I cannot recommend these folks highly enough!

We have worked with Ernie Hoffman and his staff on a couple of projects that have energized our home, which was originally built in the 1920s.One involved creating a new front door and entrance in what was once a small office/window. We have a Tudor-style home and the new front entrance involved a beautifully carved stone surround and stone steps that curve gracefully outward. Inside the front door, the creation of the entrance involved making a doorway into our living room in what was previously a plastered wall, and laying wood floors that matched the rest of the wood floors in our main level. The architect and craftsmen who worked on this job really outdid themselves sourcing beautiful materials and ensuring that colors and moldings were carefully matched. The entire project fits our home so perfectly that it really looks and feels like it always should have been there.The other project involved updating the master ensuite. This job involved literally stripping our existing bathroom and building it up from scratch. Incredible attention to detail from both the architect and the tradespeople resulted in a beautiful and updated gem that fits the style of our home, but that improved the look and function of the ensuite dramatically. This job was done before the entrance project and the ease of working with Ernie and his team, and the care that the team took to complete the job, made it obvious that Hofmann Design Build should be our first call with any other projects for our home.

We chose HDB after having fire and water damage in our condo. Right from the start they were timely, patient and understanding that this was a big undertaking for my wife and I. Especially since we just found out she was pregnant.Our entire condo needed to be remodeled from the studs inward. They were patient and helpful while walking us through this daunting process. Everyone we worked with from their vendors to their painters were professional, courteous, and again, patient.Given the inevitable delays of changing minds, finding gremlins, and of course covid delays, they never broke stride, never became impatient with us, and most importantly, they looked out for our best interests like we were one of their family members.I could not recommend them more. The entire Hofmann Design crew and process made an entire 1st floor renovation stress free and and enjoyable!Bill was our project manager and he was organized, communicative and made everything seamless. I seriously won't do another renovation unless Bill is managing the project :)Keith is a true artist! His craftsmanship and attention to detail is truly incredible. He essentially built our whole kitchen. He arrived everyday on time, got right to work and left our house clean each day as if nothing happened. I can’t tell you how appreciative we are for that with a 2 year old and dog in the house!JJ’s focus and professionalism are unmatched. I knew that if JJ was working on it, it was done the right way.No one believes me when I tell them our renovation was stress free. We used Hofmann to renovate our downstairs. They even added on a porch for us! They took our home from the 70's into the present! You get what you pay for. They are very professional and do top quality work. The best part of the entire experience was working with Steve --the project manager. Steve is very cordial and friendly and immediately responds to any concerns. Hofmann was ALWAYS on time and kept their time line promise. We've used contractors before who would disappear for days. Hofmann was there everyday until the job was done. The entire Hofmann team is amazing and we would use them again for any kind of major renovation project. In 2010 we worked with Hoffman Design & Build to basically redo our whole house. It was a large undertaking during which we had to move out for 6 months. The teams at this business were wonderful to work with. They came in on budget & on time. The kitchen/ bath teams provided wonderful guidance. The site managers we worked with as well as the architect were easy to work with. Before anything started we had several planning meetings. We were so happy with the project that we hoped they could help with a second home we own. I definitely would recommend Hofmann Design & Build for home renovations.

We bought a 100-year old house and hoped to get a total overhaul by adding first floor bedroom suite and create new master bedroom in second floor.Through a friend’s referral, we contacted Hofmann Design Build, Inc. After talking with Ernie, I knew we found the right person for the job. I felt nervous since we never handled such big project before. To make me feel comfortable, Ernie took more than ten hours to help me set the scope of work and analyze feasibility of the project. Ernie and his team are listening, professional and responsive to my questions and requests. We trust the company and very happy to work with such wonderful team.

We recently underwent a gut renovation of two bathrooms in our home. We were incredibly happy with the professionalism of the Hofmann team that came in to coordinate and execute the renovation project, the quality of the workmanship, and the end result, which has exceeded our expectations. From the initial design phase to the demolition and the rebuilding and construction, Hofmann Design Build worked diligently to minimize the impact on our lives and make sure we were 100% happy with the result.
