The owner personally goes to meat auctions to purchase the best possible meat, Not like any store in the area. They will go out of there way to make sure you get want you want, cut the way you want and by far the CLEANEST place to buy meat. -- Don't forget to get the homemade Kofta, and Adana ground meats.”
“The Arthur Avenue Retail Market is one of several public food halls across the city, including Essex Market (LES), Jamaica Farmers Market (Queens), La Marqueta (Harlem), and the Moore Street Market (Brooklyn).The Arthur Avenue market opened in 1940 to serve the predominantly Italian neighborhood and still does to this day.There are several vendors, including butchers, fresh produce sellers, dry goods, and at least one restaurant and sandwich joint.I was running errands in the area and needed a sandwich, so I ordered a mortadella and broccoli raab sandwich from Mike's in the back on the right. They also offer many pre-made sandwiches if you are in a rush, but I like to order off the menu.The butchers look great and have an assortment of specialties, including offal and fresh rabbits. I can't wait to see what they offer around Easter time.There are a few tables near the bar in the back and as part of the restaurant, but it's hard to say if you are welcome to sit there to eat a sandwich. Regardless, it's a great spot to check out if you are walking along and want to pop into NYC, equivalent to a European food hall.”

Some of the best steaks I've ever had have come from here. Great already cooked meal options when needing something quick on the go.For a little store I'm always amazed how many products are here. If you can't find it, ask! It's possible it's just up high somewhere you can't see it or it's in the back.”

“The absolute best home made pork provisions in North Jersey. It’s like a candy store for adults. Everything is absolutely high quality. The landjäger is delicious. Teewurst is a must try. They make some every Thursday. The fresh made veal loaf is top notch. The counter guys are fast and efficient. I highly recommend this place.”

“Finding a good hot dog/sausage is much harder than you would think. This place is a good solution for that. It's a little stand outside of a butcher shop. There is a line basically all of the time. Is it earth shattering? No. But if you want a brat and want it grilled up nicely, this is your place. Kielbasa is $10. It's huge, pretty good but skip it for something else like the brat. The brat is $4. Worth it.”

“There are a few butcher shops on authur ave but for me this is my favorite. This place will literally do whatever you want them to do to a cut of meat. They also carry things like duck, lamb, rabbit, quail, and a few other more exotic meats if you're into that kind of stuff. Great place and make sure you ask for Jimmy he is a true professional!”

“If you're polish you will find everything you may need here - just like back home. Including some cosmetics, magazines and medicines. Selection is huge for a pretty small place. Meats, cheeses and cold cuts are top quality. They also have hot food which is way better than in most Polish restaurants in the area. Selection includes soups and desserts. Perfect place to get your polish supplies or to experience Polish homemade food.”

“If you have any memories of Hungarian cuisine from your childhood or from trips, you could be entertained here with all the important ingredients and ready made delicacies in surprisingly reach varieties compared to the size of the store. The sausages, the salamis, cold cuts and even their bakery products are impeccable. My rating is, no question, 5*.”

They’re so great and always hook me up with excellent cuts of meat, and at a really fair price given the quality (yeah supermarkets in the area have it cheaper but the quality isn’t as good).Lack of parking is annoying to navigate but not the end of the world either.”

“They have ample parking available, the aisles are clean and well organized, they usually have good deals, the cashiers are respectful, and the staff is friendly. They don't have much variety of flowers or products in the bakery but everything else is very good.”
