“I switched over to this credit union from Bank of America when they were threatening to charge a monthly fee for using our debit cards. It annoyed me so much I decided I'd rather support a smaller, more family oriented banking institution. What I love about this credit union: -personalized service- people already know my name! -very old school- call in and they'll mail you a check -only $5.00 to open an account -my immediate family members can join -low as heck interest rates on car and personal loans -exempt from paying car loan in summer months because I'm in education What's not so convenient: -not as many ATM's available -outdated interent and bill pay services -when checking account online, transactions don't always post immediately I'm going to stick with them for a while and see if I can grow some patience while working on not being just another person who needs everything done for me at lightning speeds.”

“I have been a member here since 1990 and have seen many wonderful people come and go. But the service has never has suffered. In 1990, my father worked at IBM, which was close by to the NJ Gateway and he opened up an account for me and he would make weekly deposits for me.There were never charges for having certain amounts or balances in the account, and this policy stands to this very day. Everyone I have dealt over the years have grown with me, from regular saving and checking accounts, to an auto loan, to a line of credit in a needful time.I've only been to the physical location less than ten times, but the relationship and professionalism that we share via telephone is a shining example of of most financial institutions should treat their customers today.A lifetime member. “I salute everyone at MCEFCU. The flood forced changes for many incuding the CU Staff. It is easy to complain about preparedness until one has endured an untoward natural event/disaster. To be back up and running within a reasonable time frame was imppressive. As consumers, we often only see the front desk and never acknowledge whats going on behind the scenes. The services and loan rates are respectable and they keep the Middlesex County concumers in mind and in the loop. Thank you for all of the excellent service. “This is a great banking service to have right on the campus. There is an ATM here but perhaps only for account holders. The fees are reasonable but working hours are limited. As the parent of a student I can vouch for credit unions as providing better services than the major banks and unfortunately are not well known enough due to limited marketing budgets.”
