My husband and I visited this gallery for the 1st time recently, and we had an amazing time. The gallery has amazing work done by African American artists. The owners were amazing as well. It's a really nice spot to host a private event. Check it out if you're in the area.

Went to a Murder Mystery Brunch today. The ambiance was awesome. Great art and the space is lovely. The food came out late and smelling it cooking had me starving but it was good and the event was fun. I'll definitely return for another event. Their poetry events and wine tastings look cool.

The Above Art Studios is a hole in the wall. The price that I paid for the event wasn't worth it. The Black Love event was terrible. The event was supposed to start at 9pm but we didn't start painting until 10pm. It's best if you don't arrive on time. The Black Love event was terrible and they didn't give you steps to paint. The guy criticized the music that I requested. The restroom looked terrible. The tables were small and that stands for the painting were small and cheap. My stand for my painting kept moving.

I visited Above arts studio for the new years paint and sip event. Great arrangement, great people, and had a great time. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

I was expecting some place on an upper level. GPS doesn't provide good directions to the location. It is a nice quaint establishment. Nice spot for local activity.

1st time doing a paint and sip and it was cool. Came out to celebrate my wife and cousin birthdays and to paint Tupac and very well put together with music and an overall fun atmosphere. Good music and the paint we definitely a go. I would definitely come back and do another one. Something different to do on a Friday night

I LOVE this art studio and the owners! They helped me host my first sip and paint as well as hosting my engagement party! The best part about this experience was the attention I received during the entire process! From the first phone call all the way up to the night of the event, every question, text and phone call got responded to immediately! I would highly recommend this studio! And the art work.........THIS IS THE BEST STUDIO PERIOD!!!

I had the opportunity to attend a black wine tasting that highlighted wines from African Americans which I loved. The atmosphere was very nice. The vibe was good and the music that was playing was playing was awesome lots of r&b hits. Light refreshments where served. Nice event,nice vibe and great venue.

One word UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! Waste of money bad experience for my birthday. I paid money to rent out the studio for my birthday, I also paid extra money for them to cater the event. The AC was not working, the staff was late to let us into the building, the food was cold, no AUX cord that was promised, and instructor never gave steps to paint the picture and left for a half hour. I could continue to go on about my horrible experiences. The worst part was the staff ate the food that I provided for MY guest, he then took food from the candy table, and grabbed a piece of cake!! The worst experience ever! That place isn’t worth spending a $1 at!!!

Above the Arts hosted our Sister’s 60th Birthday Memorial. They did a super job guiding us through the painting process. Our Sister’s image came alive on the canvas. Everyone was pleased with their finish product. This is our second time using them. Will use them again for our next celebration!

I've been coming here for various events since summer of 2019. I love the creative space these black men have built for the community. I recently started performing here and whoever is in the building always shows love. I hope it continues to be a staple for not only black artist and creatives, but for ANYONE down with a safe environment and a great time.
