I've been going to RVAH for over 10 years. They are competent and caring professionals. They've taken very good care of a cat and 2 dogs now. I read the full reviews of the 3 people who gave poor ratings. One said they hung up after waiting (a whole) 5 minutes on hold and were indignant about having to wait to be seen once they arrived when they were granted an emergency appointment for their pet that wasn't even a patient normally at the hospital. Apparently they were so rude and belligerent they were denied service. As a nurse I can empathize with staff having to deal with that gem of a family member of the patient. #2 was mad the doctor had to postpone a neuter because of the dog's dental issue needing to be fixed first. Number three was pissed they needed to make an appointment to have their dog receive medication. How many doctors you know treat patients without seeing them first? Vets don't have crystal balls. Vets are DOCTORS of animal medicine. Just like people, sometimes pet appointments don't go as planned because they find things unexpectedly that take priority or take longer than planned. It's a hospital, not a hair salon or a fast food drive thru. Do you want good thorough care or an assembly line? If it's good thorough care then take your furbaby here.

Very rude staff.My dog needs the kennel cough For boarding,I've had my dog there in February n October of 2020 n they are still insisting that I need a Dr visit. I will be pulling all 4 from the practice.

I am just so happy with this Vet. My first visit was because my dogs vet wouldn’t see her for 3 days. They took Katy in that same day and yes she had an ear infection. Needless to say I left the other Vet. Today Katy had another one and I called and they took her right in. Any time would have been good but they fit her in. The staff is great as well. Thank you so much for getting Katy and her ears in quickly.!!

I've had several bad experiences with this animal hospital, but was forced to make an apt. Because every surrounding hospital has no availability..... I made an apt. For 3:45pm. Upon arriving I called the front desk (as requested) and was put on hold for 5mins after hanging up and calling back I was told "sorry were busy, what's up" they took my information and said someone would be out to get my dog. 30Min later as I see dogs coming in and out I'm still waiting in my car for my dog to be taken In. 40 mins later, I call again asking what the issue is. I was told they were dealing with a emergency and the doctor would be right out to get my dog. 5 mins later the vet comes out and tells me "I think you should come back another day because your already upset"...rather than explaining the issue to me or making me aware of what was going on so I could understand, she turned my dog away and told me to leave.. That is when I became "upset". After sitting there with a sick dog for 40 mins and not being made aware of anything I was then rudely told to leave. She then explained to me that there was a dog having an emergency, there has been a COVID-19 exposure, and more things as well. At that point I didn't even want me or my dog to be exposed to what was going on there so I left. I gave the vet and the business the benefit of the doubt and waited a few days to leave this review. I even called back and explained that I would be leaving said review unless they took the opportunity to rectify the situation. I left a message for the vet 3 days again and never got a call back.. I will never take my dog back here again and I recommend that you never do as well. They are operating their business with members of their staff being positive for COVID-19. They treat their customers like trash and they are not worthy of the trust they deserve to take care of our pets.

They earned our loyalty by providing a high level of professional, thorough, personalized care for our pets. We recently reconnected with them and it felt like we were coming home again. This is the very best Veterinary I have encountered. All the staff are wonderful. They are very good to my dogs and saved my older pup twice with surgeries. I highly recommend them for the care of your pets
