I already don't like this Shop Rite because it's small and limited selections, but now I really don't like it. I ran in after work to get some deli meat and the girl that was slicing cheese was eating it as she sliced. I'm sure she did not change her gloves after doing that. Disgusting.

Way less crowded than Hainesport right down the road. Same flyer same sales but the experience is better. No salad bar, olive bar, or hot food section if that's what you're looking for. They also have a real lack of vegan cheese, only American and cheddar here. So if you're trying to find Daiya or anything spicy, be prepared to make a second stop. However, it's a more pleasant experience.

I have been going to this shop rite from last 3 years and i always do self checkout bcos its first and almost everyone in self check out worker knows me, they never stayed behind me or followed me when i do self-check out if i need any help they come to help but today there was a lady i never saw her before was checking me when i was doing self-checkout she was giving me instructions how to do it and i didn’t say anything but she came again and she was checking my cart and in the screen matching my stuffs and I bought few sushi she was asking me to show where is the sushi did i paid she took the sushi and put the code to see if i paid for it or not . I felt so bad i felt like i am some kind of a thief just because i am Bengali and she is also from Indian or bangladesh i don't know. I felt so disappointed and so disrespected. No one treated me like that before and I didn’t say anything to her Becus it was busy and I didn’t wanted to disturb other customers but from today if i see her in ShopRite i am not going to shop in there i don't wanna see her face .

I know that inflation is high however, this particular grocery Store seems to have a policy of the highest price in town on everything. It is like price gouging in my opinion. The amount of money that they are charging for basic things that you could just go down 38 to another store even, Wegmans, and get cheaper or even half the price is absolutely ridiculous. They’re in the poorest part of Mount Laurel, and they have the highest prices. It really is disgraceful how much they charge. Half a watermelon is over $15. Someone should turn them into the state, it must be illegal somehow.

Store visit 6/20. I requested two cans of lump crab meat for $17.99 from behind the seafood counter. I was immediately asked if I had completed my shopping and when I said no, I was asked to return to the seafood counter, so I could be escorted to the front register with the crab meat. I felt like a criminal. I was told by an employee the store manager implemented this policy and employees not following this order would be written up. I have visited several area Shop Rites and this is not their policy. Shop Rite Mount Laurel please do better. I will not be returning to this store and would not have purchased anything had I not been preparing for a dinner party the same evening.

Horrible store! Horrible rude miserable GM. Front end employees who stand and at self check are ignorant. The one fat guy with dirty black hair and scruff on bis face, does he speak or just grunt at customers? The self checkout machines are so over sensitive constantly telling you to remove item. Then when you need one of this nasty people to come help you , they move at a snails pace. Act like you’re the problem and it’s not the machines problem. They all look dirty and unkempt. I don’t know how this store manages to stay open with the rude staff, ignorant management inconsistent self check out it’s ridiculous.. AND it always smells moldy or like sewage. This location is shopped by a lot of seniors and the way they are treated is shameful. Do not try and make stand in 1 lane because I have over 25 items. You have zero registers open. Do better. If I could give you a zero I would.
I would rather go to Hainesport or Wegmans.

Not disability friendly. Turned away service dog and were publicly cruel to struggling autistic customer. Very concerning.

I want to share how much this store has fallen. Everytime I come to get lunch meat there is always a problem. Multiple times in recent I can recall coolers going down and having limited lunch meat. Always has 1 person running from seafood to deli and I constantly get left to others who go to seafood and show up after me and they always get helped first. I'm going to start spending more money to get better service. Shoprite charges too much to get the service they give. Very disappointed.

I think this will be my last time coming here. I don't know what's going on but your store smells like a sewer. The fridges where you keep your bacon and hardboiled eggs smells like mold. It's overpowering and I have gotten curdled milk before because your staff is leaving the dairy to sit for far too long. I worked at another ShopRite some time ago, I'm familiar with how things SHOULD be done. This is such a shame especially since Aldi opened across the street you'd think you'd want to remain competitive...

To be clear, this ShopRite location has been my go to place for over 10+ years. Understandably after Covid noticably policies have changed during the self checkout process. With that said, yes, per previous other complaints the checkout machines can be annoying and not as precise as for example Wegmans.
But forget the machines, this review is about the customer service at self checkout!
I've worked in the hospitality industry 15+ years, and from my experience, some of the staff need basic retraining.
Simple reminders of telling customers to have a great day, or simply saying your welcome after someone thanks you for assisting them.
There's a young man that currently works there that always has water bottles hanging out his back pocket that always responds "uh huh" after I say thank you when the machines says assistant needed. He's dismissive and clearly just there for a paycheck.
Another example is yesterday there was an employe speaking so negatively about another one of her coworkers at this location. Referring to someone's weight loss as "a joke" and how she "doesn't see her weight loss", "wearing jeans is offensive l" about tattoo's and how "only a certain kind of person gets tattoos, if you know what I mean"......
In my head, what is that supposed to mean? I have tattoos, are you suggesting something negative by that? And why are you speaking so badly about another teammate in front of customers?
Her gossiping about another colleague was loud, obnoxious, and should have been had in a break room if not at all.
What makes this worst, is that this lady is obviously seasoned & up in age. She should know better and be an example to the younger staff.
This happened 4/13 in-between 230 & 330pm. Caucasian woman, 55+, short white/gray hair, wears glasses at the tip of her nose.
Food prices are sky high and the last thing I want to deal with while swiping my credit card is bad customer service.
Do better.
And where are the shopping baskets?!?
