“The rooms we were in could use a fresh coat of paint and the TV stand was missing a top drawer other then that it was fine. The gentleman in the office when I checked in was really nice and the price was not bad at all considering it was Thanksgiving. We didn't see any bugs at all during our stay and there wasn't people hanging outside yelling like other places we've stayed at. The room had a small fridge in it and there was a microwave in the office that everyone can use 24/7 they also have venting machines so you don't have to worry about going to the store if you want a quick snack. There is a wawa a couple doors down that you could grab anything you might need. I would definitely come back here for the price and the owner being so polite.Rooms: Huge king size bed a little to firm for me but it didn't stop me from having a decent night's restSafety: No one was outside yelling or knocking on random doors like other places I've visitedWalkability: There's a wawa a couple doors down that you can walk to. Not sure what else is around there as I didn't leave the room once I checked inFood & drinks: They have a microwave in the main office customers can use they also have venting machines stocked with plenty of different snacks.”

“Excellent hotel, very stylish with great, well sized rooms. It is within walking distance to major attractions and has a paid parking outside.Service was good and although there is no breakfast or food option, there is an attached restaurant which we have not used. There are lots of options around. Reasonably price.Very happy with the choice”

“A truly exceptional hotel, with a staff determined to make our stay memorable, relaxing, and inviting. The large breakfast that we ordered was delivered at the time that we selected (on the dot) and perfectly prepared. Also, our room was both well-appointed and large. We look forward to returning. A world-class experience.”

“Love the hotel, since this is my first time come in so I don’t know how to go where and where so I’m like kinda tidus to in and out through the casino to get the hotel and got check. I know because of the security but yeh I think it’s just me. But other than that everything all good”

“"Cozy" Quick walk from the SEPTA line and hectic city into the cozy hotel that is the Element. The entrance is on the ground floor but you take the elevator to the 2nd floor to enter the lobby. It is a beautiful lobby, quiet and peaceful compared to the outside of the hotel. The hotel lobby staff were kind and accommodating. Reassured me with any questions I had since it was a first time stay in Philly. The room itself was immaculate and had all the necessary amenities and nothing was missing. I reserved the cheapest room possible but the space was so warm with the wood tones and minimalist design. Definitely would come again based on the professional service and room quality.”

“This is my go-to hotel in the area. I travel a lot staying in Marriott hotels. The Westin chain seems to be better than most of their properties for value priced hotels. Free breakfast buffet for high-status members.”

“I stayed here for three nights for a conference at Penn. Having attended Penn before, I knew that the area would be noisy and that most places would not be able to block out all of the noise, so I decided to take a chance on a hotel presumably dedicated to helping people study. It had a lot of pros including being very clean/nice facilities, staff being responsive to preferences and requests, and the excellent room service from the wonderfully delicious Co-op restaurant that delivered delicious omelettes to me at 7AM-7:15AM as promised so that I could make my sessions in time. The bed was also extremely comfortable. The valet parking, though expensive like everywhere else, did their job reliably and well.It isn't their fault that there was a gas leak and jackhammering until 10:20PM on Thursday night. Or that I am a light sleeper. The walls were slightly thinner than I liked, and I could lightly hear my neighbor's tv and sneeze, although I did not hear any noises after 8PM thankfully. The AC does make a loud noise to start (which woke me up), so I resorted to lowering the room temperature excessively before bed, and then turning off the cool function--keeping the fan on steadily all night, which worked beautifully. The one noise that I found to be extremely challenging was that the doors are extremely loud upon closing, so this would be heard anytime anyone in the hall closed their door. The blackout curtain is behind the sheer one, and it is decent, but still leaves light around the edges, so remember your eye mask if you care.Other attendees staying at the Inn at Penn (Hilton) and the Sheraton, said that their hotels were "ok," but from what I read there are facility issues and sound issues on those reviews. If given a choice today, I would stay at the Study again due to their reliability.”

“Stayed for two nights and slept like a king! Yes, the lobby bar is crazy expensive ($20 for a glass of wine) but there's lots of other options nearby. The bed was so comfortable and the room was very quiet. Only wish there were slippers but all in all a really great stay.”

“Perfect location for a Philly stay. You're right in center city walking distance from many many shops, right across the street from a Nordstrom outlet. Many restaurants open late and deliver right to the door. We arrived at 2 am for a late check in and we were greeted with such a warm and welcoming smile. She walked us through check in on the kiosks and explained the hotel layout. Once in our room it gave hostel vibes. Our rooms were perfect and exactly what we needed. Not too large and not too small where we felt crowded. The hotel offers full size bottle amenities, Bigelow products. There was a yoga mat in the room which was perfect for any morning stretch. Each floor had a water bottle refill station with empty, unused bottles available to fill. Only issue we encountered was with housekeeping. We paid and confirmed a late check out with the front desk the night and morning before check out. However housekeeping allowed themselves into the room early in the morning.Safety: Felt very safe in the location. Entrance and lobby are on different floors and you can only access the elevator with a key card. The front door is also locked after hours and accessed only by cardWalkability: Walking distance to so many shops. From grocery, convenience to shoppingNoteworthy details: The location is perfect for center city. Refillable water bottles on every floor. The decor was beautiful!”

“Manager is rude and cocky. Location is decent enough, no visible bugs although I'm sure they are some. Clean at first appearance with dirty corners etc. It's called sleep inn and they advertise great sleep however you will be rudely awoken at any hour of the morning they choose. Housekeeping is very loud, they don't take regard to occupied rooms and the vacuum is extremely loud. Also have your belongings at the door at 15 mins prior to checkout bc they will be standing there waiting for you and repeatedly knocking. Nothing like working night shift and being woken up multiple times on Your only day off to sleep in. And they also won't accomidate ADA. Stating is no handicap accessible rooms available. They do have them but aren't clean usable condition so if you need ada don't come here. Or if you like sleep and common decency don't come here.”

“Wife and I slept well, we stayed for two nights. The only complaint that can be made about room 344 ( second to last door on the top floor, right side of the building) is the flag pole. I sleep with earbuds, but could hear it during thr day. Something was hitting against the metal of the pole it was attached to. High winds yesterday, so that would explain it. Breakfast smelled great, like eggs and bacon kinda breakfast. Didn't try it, woke up to late. The older black gentlemen from Massachusetts who checked us in has a great sense of humor, love that guy.”

“Did not stay at the hotel itself but went to a conference here and they had it set up pretty well. I don’t know if I would want to be a regular guest staying here during a conference because it seemed like utter chaos all the time. Nonetheless it was nice having the bar right when you walk in. The food there is not bad, the drinks are a bit pricey but good and it’s a nice atmosphere overall. I will say one of our friends that was a guest in the hotel waited 11 minutes for an elevator, so do with that info what you will. There’s escalators for the conference section so this was avoidable most of our trip.”

“Rooms and location were as advertised and I thought the staff was attentive. My beef is the parking garage across the street. There is a "special rate" for Motto at $50/day. It includes in and out privileges. If you stay a minute over, they ding you another $50. If you are not staying at Motto, the standard rate is $42 /day. Motto should better explain this.”

“Love this place! The breakfast sandwiches and platters are so freaking good...easy on the pockets and they make fresh donuts every morning but you gotta get there early because the donuts run out very fast!”

“The refrigerator's freezer didn't work, and we needed to freeze ice packs EACH day in order to use them at night. That did NOT happen during our two-overnight stay. However, thestaffers (specifically Dan Sullivan (GM), and Cassie Zeng, were outstanding. Cassie made our potentially problematic stay delightful (and let us keep frozen foods in the kitchen refrigerator until we were ready for them). As vegans,we were disappointed with (a) limited options (we had hot oatmeal each morning with apples and bananas and craisins or raisings, and dried cereals with raisings and strawberries) and (b) the smell of lots of meat cooking (overwhelming) and (c) the lack of plantmilk for the 24.7 coffee (but Cassie Zeng volunteered to give us HER Chobani extra-thick-and-creamy oatmilk for our coffee (which made our potential disappointment into a great stay at this lodging.”
