I am so pleased with Amanda in the leasing office and Fernando from maintenance. He was here in less than 24 hours after my service request and went beyond to fix the issues. Both Amanda and Fernando are assets to this complex.

Amanda was extremely helpful to us from the day we went on our first tour until the day we moved in! 10s all across the board for everyone in the leasing office.

Amanda was super helpful with the moving process. She gave us great tours of the different apartment options and answered all of our questions. We had a few issues upon move in (broken appliances), but the maintenance team was quick to respond. They either repaired the issues or completely replaced the appliances.
The dog park is really nice and we met a lot of great people (and dogs) so far! There are a lot of restaurants and shopping options nearby.
One complaint that I have is that some of the parking spaces desperately need to be paved.
Another thing that I wish was different/could use improvement is the lack of lighting in the apartments. It would be nice if the closets had lights and if the bedrooms had a ceiling fan with a light or something like that.
It would also be nice to be able to choose different timeframes for maintenance requests. It'd be helpful to be able to pick a few different dates and times to ensure that we're around when they come over.
Besides that, we're really enjoying living here so far.

If you feel like living in a place that invades your privacy, makes up false charges to get you to pay more than your agreed rental price, not fix anything and live you to live in inhabitable conditions… then this place is for you.Come rent an apartment where they purposely don’t withdraw the money when you pay, then try to run it twice, and then tell you to pay an additional few hundred dollars including a check fee (even though it’s paid electronically).Come live at a place that won’t take care of pests problems until you badger them to only have them call you less than ten minutes the exterminator shows up where you have your animals home and the exterminator was not notified of animals in the apt. Or, if you love to live without a properly working heating and cooling system, then this is your place to be. Who says you need a working air conditioner unit when it’s over 90 degrees outside with sweltering humidity? Not these guys. Mainly staying its not a problem or fixed when they just stare at your thermostat and test the temp right against the grate is superb handy man work. Have animals and and want to have them suffocate with asthma because your apartment is 90 degrees inside as well? Well, as we were told, just turn on some fans Who says you need working anything inside? Not these guys. It will have to not work at all to have it taken seriously. Even if you email and put in requests for over 6 months. Ooooh! And if you work from home, or rather, if you value your privacy and want to live in a place you pay for that treats you like your their employees and don’t want to listen to your requests for time slots or privacy or anyone….. then come on down to Mount Arlington Apartments Homes. Where false information is stated and your bribed to give a good review to get a $5 coupon to a buyer of your choiceEdit: also, if you like the silliness of making complaints that are met with emails with inaccurate truths and have to jump on the bandwagon of needing an attorney and being another one of their tenets having a lawyer involve, this place is for you. If you like being scammed, being ripped off of hundreds of dollars, living with no good heat or ac, false charges, fraud charges and statements…. Then it is DEFINITELY for you.

When I submit a maintenance request, it is taken care of immediately. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get it fixed, but it got done and they let me know what they did to fix the problem. That was greatly appreciated. Thank you!

We’ve lived here for about two years and we have loved it. We feel we need to make some shout outs to the team here at the community. First off a shout out to the maintenance crew, Joe and Fernando. They have always helped out and have done a great job when coming up to the apartment to take care of any issues. Second we want the new property manager Gina to be recognized as an outstanding new addition to the complex. She is very personable and always takes the time to have a conversation and listen to any concerns. She has even gone above and beyond to help out, way more then the previous property manager. Gina is a sigh of relief in knowing that there is someone that will actually do all they can to help resolve any issue. Just an all around wonderful person who is a great new asset for the community.

The Mount Arlington Garden Apts. Maintenance Staff is a much appreciated two man team, assisted clerically by the office staff. The maintenance request process is easy to navigate, work orders are acknowledged immediately electronically, and orders are attended to in a timely fashion. Emergency calls are responded to immediately as well. Both men exceed typical standards and expectations, in their professionalism and respect for residents and their property. It is comforting to know they are here for the residents!

I love the staff here. They're incredibly prompt and communicative when anything happens, and helped me IMMENSELY while I was navigating a XC move solo with 2 pets. Supportive and friendly community feel, incredibly safe, pretty grounds and comfortable units. Are there minor issues? Sure, it's an apartment. But nothing major and like I mentioned, they're receptive and timely in resolution. All in all, a great community!

Staff and maintenance are very helpful and kind. Apartments are updated and there are some amenities on site that we don't have to pay for. I like how it is pet friendly and there is a dog park for my dog to run around in.

I lived here for one year. Apartments are ok I guess. Not anything amazing, but functional. My one bedroom apartment was 1,000 square feet, which is perhaps the largest one bedroom I've come across in north Jersey. Bedroom and living room/dining area were spacious, although I had to opt for a TV stand in front of my queen size bed instead of a dresser because I wasn't sure there would've been enough space for one. Kitchen was an ok size but the bathroom was cramped. There was no pantry in the kitchen so I had to use the hallway closet to store food. The washer and dryer are located at the end of the kitchen, which is a bit weird. There are very few amenities and no central A/C or heating. Apartment only includes one wall A/C in the living room. There is a space in the bedroom where you can install your own A/C if you should choose to buy one. The thermostat in the living room controls the baseboard heating units throughout the apartment. I believe management controls when the heat gets turned on; on a couple of occasions during the summer it got pretty chilly during the night and I had to go buy a space heater because no heat would come out of the baseboard heating units. My apartment didn't have an "upgraded kitchen" so all of the appliances were white and looked basic. Apartment as a whole looked basic, plain, and outdated. The absolute worst thing about these apartments is how thin the walls are. I could hear the floors creak when the people up stairs would walk around their apartment. I could also hear their dryer spinning and shaking whenever they used it, when they slammed doors, dropped things on the floor, and open/closed their hallway closet door. I can not emphasize enough how absolutely infuriating and triggering this was on a daily basis. This alone is the reason why I could never recommend this place to anyone. On a positive note, the company hired to remove snow from the parking lots and sidewalks did a good job for the most part.Overall, these apartments are an ok place to stay for a year while you figure out your next move but I could never picture myself living there long term. They're not really worth the money and if you're willing to spend what they're asking you can do better.
