I used to love shopping at the Mission Thrift but now I can't afford it! Your prices have gone threw the roof. I see the same stock there week after week after week. I thought the object was to sell your stock! Especially since everything is donated. Please go back to your roots and not thinking you are a high end antique store!

Prime example of the sad reality of the gentrification of "thrift" stores. When a thrift store no longer serves as a community support, and starts catering to a more privileged population. The consumer goods are no longer in touch with reality, and often comparable, or even more than online prices. This place is really sad.

I have been supporting Market St Mission Thrift Store since early 2011. I would faithfully go there at least once per week. I have had great bargains over the years until 2021 the prices have quadrupled. I know that this Store supports the needy etc etc.but that doesn't give the managing staff valid reasons to grossly overprice some of the items. For example, I saw an ordinary 1 gallon glass jar for $10. This jar wasn't brand new by any means. I saw a stoneware soup bowl for $10. Now these items were not combined with any other items. I don't think that regardless of the fact that the proceeds go to good cause warrants the need for overpricing certain items. Once you buy it, you keep it. No returns/refund. I'm hoping someone will realize that marking up the prices doesn't really help to reach your goal to help the needy. I've sent a few people there and they were disappointed with some of your prices, so they went elsewhere. One of my friends wanted a griddle. She saw one (not cast iron) for $8. It was warped. Of course, she did'nt buy it. Anyways, I think some of your pricing should be revised.

I used to love coming here, but it has become beyond overpriced just like every other greedy thrift shop. $200 for candelabras? $175 for an antique tray? Those are antique store prices at a thrift shop which receives donated goods. I understand wanting to make a profit but the prices I saw today are just absurd. Employees are mostly friendly, and the selection is somewhat decent but the prices will cause me to go elsewhere from now on.

We used to go to this thrift store many many times even after covid and the prices were reasonable. Now...OMG,I cannot say this enough...how are we supposed to help you to help others when you have quadruple prices on China, doubled the clothing, tripled then doubled the prices on coats! And shoes don't get me started on used shoes for 15.00 dollars with worn soles. Word to the new manager ...greed is not good!

The staff is always so welcoming and friendly. The clothing is organized in an easy and accessible way. I always find some sort knick knack there to take home with me. Overall such a great place/environment to find second-hand items and shop sustainably :)

A combination of a thrift shop with an antique shop with thrift store prices! I really recommend this place.
