I stayed here a few days ago for the first time and the room smelled like a dog we ask for a room change and they placed us in a disabled persons room which we didn’t need or asked for. We accepted the room for the night because we were tired. The next morning was about to shower and there was this BIG FLIPPING ROACH BRO we immediately ran out the room and demanded a different room We still shocked about that roach.

When I first arrived at the hotel. The young lady at the front desk was very welcoming. I had booked a single studio and was given a great price. Donna was very good and her communication was great. I ended bringing my niece and my 2 nephews at the last minute due to her mom and my sister's untimely death. After uncle Rukus.. aka Marlon reported that I had them with me. The entire staff began treating us like trash!!! Mind you I never have ever been treated in such a way as this place! I had gotten behind a few days not weeks due to my car incident. I settled my debt the following week and left. The staff began telling us that they were without toiletries, and everything else. Also, one of the staff members hit on my niece and it went further if you know what I mean. Yes, she is an adult and makes her own decisions. Still, unprofessional especially when the room was rented by the staff member whom also ignored my calls while I was trying to pay the hotel what was owed. I called for 4 hours and no one would answer the phone. It took the 11 pm staff to take my payment whom Also hung up in my face. I am not a violent person and neither is my family. I was not offered a bigger room. I was actually bullied by the staff by not communicating with me. Chris the manager, as I was leaving I saw you give Marlon aka uncle Rukus a thumbs up meaning good job for getting them out! Marlon only told the Supervisor about my niece and her 2 little ones because she was not interested in him! If you are going to report anything. Tell the entire story!

I am currently staying here. The staff is very friendly. My room is as advertised. Fair rates. Unless I bump into someone while walking through hotel, I feel like the only one there (quiet).I have a kitchenette in my room. I just moved to NJ and I am staying here temporarily until I find an apartment. It is easy to get to and shopping and eating establishments are close by.It you are looking for an extended stay or even a short stay, I recommend this place.

Been here several times. Awesome staff, great clean rooms with a full kitchen.Bee at the front desk is the best! She was so welcoming and pleasant.

Depending on time of day, front desk service varied as far as friendliness and assistance. No breakfast provided and hotel store was overpriced. However, they did offer free laundry services, coffee and tea at all times. Being dog friendly was a positive experience overall

Im updating this review after staying here many many times.My work is located nearby and when I fly in, this hotel is easy access for me. Easy access to local restaurants, my work, the main highway, etc. Comfy beds, pillows, always a quiet place and a friendly staff. Also, fullsize fridge and basic stove for minimal cooking, big work desk area for spreading out for work.I've probably stayed here easily 10 times in the last year and the experience is always the same. GREAT hotel

Large, clean room with desk area and comfy bed. Front desk employees were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is 25-30 minutes from the Newark airport. Would stay here again.

I would have given a five but to my standards the room fixtures could have been wiped down better. I've stayed at a Sonesta before and this one was small. No living room but it did have a small gally kitchen.

Rated 3.5. Nice hotel overall. Room was what we needed and it was kinda cheap for all that's included in the room. However I did find hair on my towels when I arrived so I requested new ones. Also a little annoyed they charge for parking now which I don't find necessary, it's $5 a night. No pool and no complimentary breakfast. Also didn't have housekeeping because we were only there 2 nights.

We booked our suite in Sonesta Simple Morris Plains for 7 days while we were in between moving. On the 5th day, our contractor said we could move back in sooner. Since our hotel was pre paid, I was concerned about getting a refund. I spoke to the manager, and Heidi couldn't have made it super easy. She was understanding of our chaotic moving situation, and her customer service was extraordinary. She needs to be promoted to a general manager as she deserves it more than anyone. People like Heidi make a huge difference in the hospitality industry. She is passionate about her job and cares about people. Heidi is an asset, and I hope Sonesta Simple appreciates her. Angela from the front office was just as efficient! She processed our check-out painlessly. Angela was friendly, professional, and helpful. These ladies know how to get it done, and they stellar at their jobs.The hotel delivered what we needed. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the rooms were spacious. Our bed was comfortable, with ample closet space, drawers, etc. We stayed on the 2nd floor near the exit so it was convenient when we needed to go to the car. The halls were quiet, and it smelled fine. There is no issue there. The location is on Rt 10. There are Giuseppe and Stop and Shop Grocery stores nearby. Great experience, and we are grateful.

Booked room a weeks ago for work got here the room i booked has issue so they put us in 2 separate rooms the tub wont release the water while i shower room smelled checking out now i really hope there is a refund i had to go to another room just to shower last night and this morning. The worker said he'll tell his worker wow . :update So they credit my card 25$ for the inconvenience which is less then the tax for both rooms smh .Owner reached out but was a pointless effort .
