A true professional with an abundance of knowledge! I went to Sam for a consultation on some pretty complex plans on a 100 year old Queen Anne home renovation and he combed every detail of the project. He then spent quite a few hours with me reviewing the project and pointing out the questions I should be asking before committing to an undertaking of this scale. As a homeowner, I really appreciated the time he spent educating me on the process and what I should expect with regards to timing and costs. I'd definitely recommend reaching out to Sam to discuss your next project!

Sam and his team were amazing! I couldn’t be happier! From the time he came in and we first spoke he was friendly, very clear on everything, and super patient with my tons of questions. I told him what I was
hoping and looking for in my unplanned kitchen remodel and he found a way to incorporate it all. He made it happen and made it even more amazing than I had hoped with adding touches I had never even thought about. His team was also very professional and friendly as well. I would absolutely recommend Sam! I am already talking to him about another possible project and he has already given me an amazing suggestion and can’t wait to have him and his team make this next project a reality as well.

I do not even know where to begin, Sam and his crew were absolutely phenomenal. I wish I could give this review 6 stars. My husband and I wanted to make a master suite, to give my 3 sons each their own room. We had other contractors come in but as soon as we met Sam there was an initial connection and his mannerism and his honesty was what we loved. I was so nervous about having work done but the entire time I felt confident that everything was getting done correctly. We worked together as a team and came up with what we envisioned. Sam went above and beyond to give us what we wanted; he made our vision a REALITY! Sam and his crew were extremely professional, showed up every day at the same time ready to tackle our project. He created us a beautiful bedroom with a walk-in closet and a gorgeous spa like bathroom. Sam remained a part of this project and was available at all times whenever we needed him.
Not only did he create a master suite for us but a mancave for my husband. He completely transformed our unfinished basement to a great area where we can all hang out as a family of 5, and of course will be great for football Sundays!! Also, a mudroom which we desperately needed because we have sport equipment everywhere LOL!
Sam went above and beyond to our every expectation. My husband and I could not be happier and more pleased with the outcome of our project and the professionalism and honesty of Sam and his crew. I would highly recommend Sam's Construction to anyone who is looking to do renovations or any type of construction. We already have more plans for Sam and his crew to do more work in our home!!!

We cannot thank Sam and his crew enough for the gorgeous kitchen & bathroom renovation started in Dec. 2023 and completed in Feb. 2024. We are amazed it was only 8 weeks from start to completion despite the work spanning the holidays. The work included a gut reno of 38 yr. old condo kitchen, reno of our 1st floor bathroom, a new dining room floor and a new HVAC system.
We are a semi-retired professional couple who own a condo in Highlands, NJ & a house in Arden, NC. During our child-rearing years, we lived in 3 different houses in a 24 year span – all older homes needing certain renovations. Even the well-intentioned contractors we used lagged with timelines & were vague communicating when snags occurred. Since Covid/2020, we’ve heard stories from family & friends having renos
of disarray & broken promises due to supply shortages & unreliable contractors. As a result, we were ambivalent about a reno prior to meeting Sam & even considered selling the condo as an alternative.
We found Sam’s Construction & Renovation randomly while cruising the Internet & seeing pics of a beautiful kitchen reno posted by a happy client. We sent Sam an e-mail inquiry & pics of our dilapidated kitchen. He responded quickly, offering a phone consult to see if his company was a fit for our needs & budget. From there, we had a 90 min. in-home consult at a modest fee, refundable if we committed to the project.
From the inception of the job, Sam impressed us as a highly-skilled, ethical & personable G.C. attentive to all aspects of workmanship. His proposal & contract were comprehensive and left no question unanswered. He is an excellent collaborator and very talented in his artistry. Sam listened well to our tastes for design and created a wonderful blueprint that was aligned with our budget. His pricing was extremely fair & his transparency with the cost of each component was exemplary.
As the work progressed, we learned of Sam’s generosity and his devotion to cost-cutting whenever possible. One of multiple examples was his kindness in having his men pick up & deliver 3 separate orders of heavy backsplash to save us the cost of delivery. He also surprised us with complimentary features & accents to the reno at no charge.
In addition, we were so pleased with the high quality of Sam's entire crew. He remained in control of each step of the project and was available round-the-clock if any issues arose. Yet his workmen, i.e. HVAC specialist, electrician, plumber, carpenters & painters were so prompt, diligent, & unobtrusive that we felt comfortable at all times.
We are delighted with our new kitchen, bathroom & flooring and are so grateful to have found Sam. From inception to completion, he was a pleasure to work with & every aspect of the project far exceeded our expectations. We give Sam the highest recommendation possible & would be happy to serve as a reference to prospective clients.

I wish I could give 6 stars, because Sam’s Construction and Renovation is in a class by itself! I hired Sam and his team to renovate my master bedroom suite. The scope of the project was a planned remodeling of my master bedroom and master retreat which included new flooring throughout, new lighting fixtures, painting, and installation of a new electric linear fireplace.
I was impressed by Sam on our initial phone communications- he was extremely professional and offered many suggestions that we ultimately included in the final project. After we signed the contract, he started work on the exact day that he had promised, and he and his team worked every day until it was completed. They actually finished a bit earlier than stated on the contract!
Each of Sam’s workers were very respectful of my property, and always left the work area very clean. Throughout the process, Sam showed a particular attention to detail that I truly appreciated. He has a good eye for color, and helped me to pick out colors for my walls, flooring and fireplace tile that really complement each other. Sam and his team constructed a wall length framing for the fireplace that truly exceeded my expectations. The finished product is simply breathtaking!
Sam and his team will be returning after the holidays for the 2nd phase of the project, which will transform the master retreat into a custom designed walk in closet. I am certainly looking forward to working with Sam again!

Usually I don't have time to write reviews. But, due the exceptional service, quality of work, and paying attention to all details, I found my self writing this review for Sam's construction. He constructed a big project including 3 stories medical building and parking lot for me. He took over a prior contractor that did not do anything correct. In few months, he was able to finish with amazing results. Quality and time were my main issue and he provided best quality work in very reasonable time. Thank you Sam

When we discussed the project he came in and came up with a good plan and quote.As the construction started, there was great communication, timely process. As with any construction project there are always those issues that come up. Sam was right on top of it and we worked TOGETHER to get to a solution.very professional, looked out for the project making sure it was done correctly and we would benefit for years to come.

Work Done: We hired Sam to renovate several areas in our house. This included the kitchen, flooring, basement and bathrooms.Feedback: Sam exceeded expectations. On several occasions, he went above and beyond the agreed upon scope of work to improve the overall quality of the renovation. He was professional throughout the process and has even been a good resource after the work was completed. A few specifics and highlights:- Patient: Sam took the time to explain various aspects of the project and educate us on the work being done. This was especially important given we're admittedly no renovation experts and were also learning along the way.- Good Recommendations: He gave good recommendations and more importantly, did it in a way that wasn't overwhelming or condescending. He laid out options, educated us on pros/cons, and ultimately let us decide.- Responsive: Sam responded to questions and requests in a timely manner. This was important because we never wanted to micromanage the project. However, when we did have questions or requests, he answered them quickly.- Punctual: We entered the project knowing that there'd be some sort of delays, especially since it was during the pandemic. However, it was clear that Sam put a lot of effort into moving the renovation along its timeline which resulted in it being done in a reasonable amount of time.- Fairly Priced: His prices seemed fair to us and he was transparent about what it covered.- On-Going Support: Even after the work was finished, Sam and his network have been a good resource for on-going maintenance items and one-off fixes.Summary: Sam was what we were looking for in a contractor, and more. We would definitely consider hiring him again for any work needed in the future.

I hired Sam to complete a high end fit out of a new office location in Freehold, NJ.As a real estate lender operating in 46 states, I interact with contractors and developers on a daily basis. Many own clients include contactors and developers with varying degrees of experience and skill across the country, most of whom specialize in small balance residential and commercial projects.Without question, Sam’s rare combination of attention to detail, professionalism, taste, and work ethic places him amongst the top 1% of all contractors I have encountered. It goes without saying that Sam delivered a beautiful space. My reasons for speaking so highly of Sam, however, are grounded in the quality with which he executes the behind-the-scenes duties that ultimately determine whether or not a project will achieve the desired outcome.First, the attention to detail exhibited by Sam and his team for the duration of the project is exceptional. This is extremely important from the standpoint of a client for at least three reasons: (1) producing a beautiful space requires attention to every component, whether visible or not; (2) executing a detailed, line-by-line scope of work without exceeding the budgeted costs requires a rare combination of skill in project management, accounting, and communication; (3) the client wants to meet a deadline, and meeting deadlines requires consistent attention to monitoring the progress of all those involved.If Sam sent me an email to request a check, the same email included a detailed line-by-line itemization of all costs for which he requested payment. Additionally, every cost proved to be accurate. At no point was I asked to fund an over budget line item.Second, the degree of professionalism displayed by Sam and his team is as high as any client could hope for. Sam remained extremely responsive throughout the project, answering questions well past 9pm on numerous occasions. Moreover, I cannot recall a specific instance in which I grew frustrated with the pace or manner of the work performed by Sam and his team. If there was a delay, I always knew exactly what we were waiting on and the identity of the party upon whom we were waiting to proceed.Third, the outcome evidences what I already knew upon concluding our first interaction: Sam is committed to achieving a specific result, rather than a specific consequence. All too often, the GC’s goal is to meet his or her contractual obligations in order to make a certain amount of time (like most professionals across various industries). As a client, however, I want to purchase an aesthetic result, not an effort to arrive at the result. Sam actually understands and shares this view, which is an exceptionally rare quality amongst professionals in general, let alone developers and GCs.Finally, Sam is one of the two or three people meet each year that works as many hours as I do. There is simply never an instance in which you will pause to question either the progress seen or the rate at which it is being completed. Sam is obsessed with achieving what he sets out to, and this obsession permeates the activity you will see on a daily basis. I would not say it if I did not believe it, as I could have omitted this paragraph entirely without any consequence whatsoever.Hopefully your next project turns out as well as you would like it to. We used Sam's company for a commercial renovation in Freehold Boro. The job was not easy, but they got it done and worked well with my architect and the towns building department to ensure that we passed all our permits. Sam also brought fresh ideas and was easily adaptive when the scope of the job changed halfway through (more than once)! Will use them again.
