The YMCA of Montclair has been a valued part of the community since 1891, operating three branches: Park Street YMCA, Geyer Family YMCA, and YMCA Outdoor Education Center. The facility provides a welcoming atmosphere, where staff and members are friendly, courteous, and helpful. Visitors often praise the staff for their kindness and the ease of finding their way around, especially first-timers. The YMCA features a diverse community, with people ranging from toddlers to seniors, making it a great place for socializing and making friends. Members enjoy a wide range of activities and equipment, including two weight rooms, a stretch room, a circuit room, court sports like basketball, squash, pickleball, and racquetball, as well as two pools—one average-sized and one Olympic-sized—that host swim teams for children and teenagers. The facility also includes a sauna in the adult locker rooms and offers various health and wellness classes, personal training, and educational workshops. While the building has an old-school vibe and could use some remodeling, the affordability and variety of programs make it a popular choice. Overall, the YMCA of Montclair is known for its excellent service, a strong sense of community, and a commitment to providing accessible programs for all.
Our daughter had swim lessons at Park Street Y and we were very pleased with the program and facility.

The Park St Y is clean, well organized, equipment is new and there’s a great selection, the staff is always visible and friendly, and there are a host of classes available. Great YMCA!!!!
