I have a feeling this location isn't going to be in business much longer. Twice in the past week, my husband has attempted to have his hair cut, arriving well before the posted closing time of 7pm, only to find the shop closed. Not a good sign.

I've been coming to Super Cut Montclair since 2016. I get my full lace wig layered on my head. I've never had an issue except today. Every other time I go to Super Cuts and the young lady with the pink hair is working, I am told something different. The first time I came in and she was there, she said she was the only one working and she did not know how to cut wigs and didn't want to mess up my unit, and that I should come back when the head stylist is in. Okay that's fair, I appreciate her honesty and professionalism. Today I come in and now she's telling me NOBODY is allowed to cut wigs at Super Cuts Montclair. Mean while -- I've been getting my wig layered here for over 3 YEARS. I have nothing against her, I'm sure she is a very nice person and an excellent hair stylist! But I don't get it. What hair salon doesn't cut wigs? Its unheard of! It's hair on my head! How do you graduate beauty school not knowing how to style wigs? Can you understand why I am a little upset by this? What I'm asking for isn't hard! I'm not asking for much. I'm not asking you to color it, I'm not asking you to put curls in it, all I'm asking is to give the hair a little dimension! Pretend it's my real hair! If you can't cut wigs, how can you cut hair growing out of someone's scalp? I don't get it. And it's not even a racial issue. If someone with alopecia or suffers from any kind of hair loss illness walks into Super Cuts and asks you to cut their hair (which just so happens to be a wig) you're gunna turn them away? I'm very disappointed. This was really convenient for me, great price excellent service. Now I have to pay $200 at BANGS to get my hair styled! You just lost a LOYAL customer.

I've had decent haircuts here, but they blast the radio on static filled radio stations the whole time you're there. You can't hear your thoughts through the loud static radio noise.

Mayvon has always cut my hair right! There have been some other ladies that use to work here also that we're good but they left when the old management was there. I'm glad they changed that up. For me, they've always been consistent.

Sometimes I get a good cut and others it is bad. If you need a consistent haircut, might want to go somewhere else.

This is the worst PLACE. THEY NEED TO CLOSE the PLACE DOWN. - I got my hair cut & shampoo from a this guy A) did not know how to shampoo my hair and left the shampoo and conditioner in my hair and I had clean it - he cut my hair like a rat chew through my hair - I took my son who is 12 for a Hair cut and this lady butchered his hair and later said she could blend it. We ran from there to a barber shop. - the manager is bossy and seems to know everything

Fareed was a nice guy and interesting to talk to but he knows jack all about cutting hair. I came in for a trim, and he literally cut 1/2 inch from the ends of my hair - didn't do a thing with the layers. I asked him to feather my bangs, and looked confused and he said, "I guess I could cut them at an angle." Seriously? But yes - that's what he did. I am hopeful they have staff who are actually hairdressers, but if you get assigned to this guy ... ask for someone else or go elsewhere .

Caution- I got my hair TRIMMED at this location by a hair dresser who informed me it was his first time cutting a woman's hair. Needles to say, my bob was cut uneven and missed trimming an entire section of my bangs. I won't be coming back here anytime soon. I guess the extra $$$ is worth it to go to more of an upscale salon.
