Buyer beware! I recently bought a bracelet at Nouvelle, the non-consignment part of this store. My daughter wore the bracelet twice before it broke - fell off her wrist broken while she just sat there. I asked the store owner for a replacement or credit and her reaction was awful and definitely not customer service oriented. She said I could pay for a repair and she would reimburse me for half. I told her that didn't seem fair and that she should stand by the products she sells. She said once an item leaves the store she cannot be responsible for it, blamed my daughter (18) for probably being careless, and proceeded to try convince me of her POV in the most condescending and misguided way. She insisted as a small business owner she can't be on the hook for things that go wrong once items are bought. However, I believe that ESPECIALLY as a small business owner, you need to cherish each and every customer and make sure you're not selling them junk - and she just lost at least one customer in me. Good customer service is really not that hard - don't shop here if you want it.

Don’t bring your belongings here to sell. My girlfriend brought 4 items. 2 of them they couldn’t authenticate which another company had no problem authenticating soon after. The other 2 items were bags that sold. My girlfriend asked them to mail the checks to us. The owner claims the checks got “lost” in the mail. My place has a secure mailbox and my family has been in this apartment for over 16 years with 0 incidences when it comes to mail arriving. The owner claimed they had no photos, proof, or tracking information of the checks to provide which is extremely unprofessional. They charged $70 to issue new checks. They also charged a hidden fee of $20 for the items they could not authenticate after specifically telling us that we would not be charged for that. The woman Arlene is a scam artist. Please do not bring your belongings here to get scammed.In reply to the owners comment. She knows what she did and I know what she did. It was extremely unprofessional, immoral, and flat out wrong. It’s not the right way to do business. I just today received a package in the mail from Cedar Grove. It appears the Cedar Grove post office has no problem mailing items to my address. The package came with tracking, photos, and the contents were worth less than what you owed us. I’ve attached a photo keeping exact addresses out of it. If I can help just one person not take their belongings here to get scammed then I’d feel I’ve done something just.

Always find wonderful items. Bought an Alexander McQueen sweater years ago that people still comment on. And Gucci sunglasses that are timeless. It's so great to have a shop that has both new and vintage. Arlene has put together many an outfit for me and I always walk out feeling great!

Arlene and her team are amazing! On February 25, 2023, I was on a road trip and found One Savvy Design on Yelp. Their merchandise is high quality and their customer service is second to none. They use Entrupy to authentic their bags and include the paperwork with your purchase. They have a huge collection of designers bags, unique clothes and stunning jewelry! It's impossible to leave empty-handed. Happy shopping!

I have been consigning my designer handbags and shoes with this shop since they opened in downtown Montclair. Coming from someone who lives and shops in NYC, I can confirm she offers the best service and partners with the Cobbler Concierge (based in the city!) so I felt comfortable entrusting my bags with her. Especially as I treat myself to new bags every season, I have even purchased a few that walk through her door in return :) Love the new location, love the girls here. Highly recommend!

Just purchased a beautiful YSL bag from this store! I was nervous because it’s an expensive gift to myself, but the bag came with an authenticity card and dust bag and I was shown verification confirmation from the store that they had sent it out to be authenticated. Can’t wait to be wearing this to bring in the New Year!!

My daughter and I visited this shop for the first time today. One of the shop attendants greeted us at the door, and asked if we'd been there before. Since we hadn't, she explained that one side of the store is the boutique, and the other side is the consignment side. She proceeded to tell me that I looked familiar, and then commented to my daughter "you look scary". Mind you, my daughter is a typical looking teenager, with a hoodie and flannel pants on, no makeup, glasses, and in general, pretty unassuming. She then corrected herself (probably because of the look on our faces), and said "oh just kidding, you look fine". My immediate thought was what the heck was that? Teen girls have enough negative messages in the media, telling them they are not good enough, and then an adult makes an ignorant comment such as this one. We stayed for a couple of minutes and then left. EDIT: I've since contacted the owner, who address the situation with the employee, and communicated with me a couple of times, that she wanted to make things right for my daughter. While the employee's comment cannot be unsaid, I appreciate the business owner's concern about what occurred and wanting to make things right for my daughter.

This is my absolute favorite store for clothes in Montclair! All of my dresses are from this store! My favorite time of year is Christmas here where I’ve found dozens of gifts throughout the years reasonably priced for friends and family! Arlene is amazing and she always knows exactly what I’m looking for! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This place is so cute! I'm trying to start visiting more thrift and consignment shops, and this shop will definitely be in my rotation. The owner Arlene greeted me at the door and was super friendly. She explained that the shop has a mix of preowned and new items and that they've been around for 9 years. The fact that the store is still standing during this pandemic shows that she has a loyal client base that appreciated the quality of the store. Everything in the store looked brand new and was super trendy. For me, the customer service is what made the experience so awesome. A smile and good service goes a long way! I can't wait to shop there again and get some new items to add to my closet.

If I could give this place no stars I would. This place is a rip off! Arlene is so rude. I was sold a Gucci bag for 550$ "on sale" and it was GLUED together! GLUED!! How can this place try have the audacity to sell something in that condition??? It's not the fact that it was glued that bothers me is the fact that they purposefully tried to hide the damage and then claiming that they told me when in fact they never did. If Arlene would have handled the situation, I would have let it go but instead Arlene was rude and threatened to call the police if I showed up at the store to try to return the gucci bag.

Great place to consign and shop, I’ve done both. Arlene and her team are delightful and have a great eye. 95% of my items sold with no problems whatsoever. Read your contract, follow the specified guidelines and you’ll have no worries.Good luck!
