just give these folks a call/text and get an estimate before you decide DIY your move renting from UHAUL. that's what we did and ended up paying UHaul price but professional service end to end. let these folks take care of all the worries come with the move. fully satisfied and fully recommend.

Move details: 3 bdrm, 2 bath home with basement and baby grand, from NJ to OH. Let me start by saying that Brian, who was in charge of our move, was wonderful. He and his team of fellas were great in providing care for our piano and entire home contents. THEY saved this review. As for Dan, the owner, I have to say we were so disappointed. He was great leading up to the day. Dan wasn't going to visit our home to view the size of our move until I insisted he comes by; and then, he underestimated. He advised that we WOULD fit, but it would be close. So I rented an additional uHaul separately. After an 8-hour load, I had to give away >$2,000 worth of outdoor furniture, grills, mower, snowblower, etc. because Dan would not own the fact that he miscalculated. He was offering to sell me a mattress and deliver it, but not bring these "items that wouldn't fit." Further, I was happy to dive in and help the movers. But Dan insisted I gave my word that I would put together shelving units on delivery, which I never did because his movers were beating me to the new home. Dan's fellas did accidentally scrape a good amount of paint off the banister - totally get it - it happens. But again, Dan didn't want to own the mistake and recommended I go to Home Depot and buy the supplies to fix it. In the end, I paid Dan what I promised. I was hoping he would keep his word by providing the service he promised, but unfortunately, he didn't. His guys did great - took care of my baby grand. But as for recommending Dan's company, I cannot; unless he'd like to make up some of the difference in my losses and his gains.

Move It Piano Services just moved a baby grand piano and two large couches for me and everything was perfect. The day they were scheduled to move ended up being snowy and not the best conditions for a move so they were able to accomodate us by moving it to the next day on Saturday which we were very thankful for. Everyone was super nice and everything arrived in great condition!

Daniel provides professional, reliable, and good value service. I am highly pleased. I recommend this company. The guys called multiple times to confirm their arrival and that the job is still on since it was a rainy morning. The piano was well wrapped and cared for. Daniel took every call and text message. I'm grateful. Thank you!

Great service, friendly and a good price. Would have given five stars but they had reschedule with short notice, causing me to move my schedule around... not the end of the world but not ideal either. I definitely recommend them for piano moves.

I was initially nervous because of the recent iffy reviews, but I have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised.

I would not recommend this company. Yes, they are nice-and three hours later than expected and damaged the front of the piano. Three small but obvious gashes. According to the delivery men it's not a big deal, we can just color over it with a marker-which is what they tell their customers, he said. Truthfully it won't affect the sound, but having it rolled down our driveway (because they can't back down a road about 30 yards) on just a 1 foot by 1.5 foot square on wheels might.

Great guys - hard workers and know their job. They were very good about keeping in touch for their arrival time. Know how to move a Steinway with care.

I reached out to Daniel last week to plan a move between North Bergen and Cliffside Park. He responded to my request by asking me to call. I called and he told me the price for 3 guys and when I let him know one of the buildings was a walk up it would be 4 guys and a higher rate. I was OK with that and asked him to send me a contract through email, then through text the next day and finally calling him before he emailed me a sentence that said he agreed to do the move at that price. I tried reaching out to him a few times to get the exact time of the move but he was unresponsive again and his phone mailbox was full. Finally my fiancee called him today and he told her a time frame but they had to rent a truck from Budget because their trucks were on higher priority moves and that their would only be 3 movers and he was adamant he never said 4, and was unable to give a straight answer about insurance. Overall the lack of responsiveness through the who ordeal was stressful and we ended up cancelling our move with them and now need to find last minute movers. I can't speak to their piano tuning service but I wouldn't use them for a move.
