I cannot give enough thanks and praise to Kelli and Michelle. While I was pregnant I took prenatal yoga classes. They guide you through each pose focusing on your own body and ability. They continuously worked on breathing techniques through each flow. While I was in labor it was like my muscle memory knew how to naturally breathe. We’ve moved onto Mommy and Me yoga and LOVE it! Jade is amazing and SOOO sweet with the babies. Truly a little hidden zen den tucked away on Walnut Street!

Montclair BABY has been such a great resource for Lamaze/Yoga while pregnant and they have engaging programming for Parent and Baby. The baby yoga classes have been so great to get out of the house and meet other parents during parental leave offering a little stretching for both you and Baby. We also did a baby music class series that was lovely to build community and to learn to interact with your baby through music. I’m looking forward to continuing classes here on the weekends when I go back to work.

I took some pre-natal yoga classes with Kelli, which gave me such calmness. We were trying to understand if a labor doula would be a great addition to our labor team, and Kelli went beyond any possible expectation by giving us resources and recommendations and trying to understand our needs to support us.I recommend as well their LAMAZA classes.

We hired Kelli as our birth doula thank god we did! Her birth prep class, prenatal massage & overall support & guidance during the hardest day of my life meant the world to us. She was our little angel. I did not think I would feel comfortable relying on someone outside of my husband during such a vulnerable life event (labor) but she made it so easy to rely on her. If you are debating on using a birth doula do not doubt hiring Kelli. We will always hold her close to our hearts.

Have been attempting to place a small special event donut order and have been unable to get in contact with anyone to discuss. Used the online form. They could not find my submission and refused to help me over the phone. Sent a direct email from my account and still no reply. Not great customer service.

Over $3 for one croissant, $19 for a personal pizza. This said we sat at a picnic table outdoors that I myself had to clean off. We ordered two brick oven pizzas that were burnt with hardly and toppings or sauce on the Thanksgiving Pizza I ordered. The turkey was clearly cooked days before hand. It had a terrible taste so I took it off the pie. The owner came to our table to talk about the bread making classes she offered. I know she say our burnt food but she never offered to remake or discount the food. Croissant was fresh but for the price and service we received I wont be back.

I tell other moms all the time how lucky I was to find this place. When my baby was 4 weeks old I was really struggling with breastfeeding and the baby wasn't sleeping great. I spoke with Kelli, and she suggested some great classes for me to take, and also set me up with an amazing lactation consultant & Doula; Jade. I cannot express enough how warm and caring Jade is, which made it so much easier for me to open up about my struggles. We had to do the consultation virtual

I took baby yoga classes here and baby sign language. The yoga classes are such a nice way to meet other moms, get out and moving, and to connect with your baby. The instructors are warm, welcoming, and caring. It is in a nice, walkable section of Montclair with several cafes and restaurants. Currently, people are unable to go out, and Montclair Baby even found ways to overcome COVID 19 social distancing by continuing classes online. I would highly recommend Montclair Baby for new mommas!

For some time, I had been hearing about this bakery that is renown for their donuts. My passion for donuts has resulted in somewhat of a hobby traveling all over the state to sample from as many establishments as possible. So, I was very excited to finally try this one. Unfortunately, I can’t say that I could’ve been any more disappointed. I mean aside from most of the donuts being tasteless, the texture was unlike anything that I had ever experienced. On a Sunday morning, I got a box of a mixed dozen, each one a different flavor so I basically sampled all they had to offer. The cost? $48.00 but they give you an extra one to make a Baker’s dozen. On the drive home, of course I couldn’t wait, so I grabbed the extra one that was in a separate bag and tried to pull off a piece... but I couldn’t because it was like rubber. So I just grabbed the whole donut and took a bite of it ...and ended up chewing for the next five minutes! It was bad, but I figured maybe I got a stale one or something and was still looking forward to the rest of them. Well, when I got home, I discovered that most of the others were the exactly the same way. First of all, they are pretty much all pastry donuts, not cake donuts, which is fine but the majority of them were inedible due to the texture. Literally, I even struggled trying to cut them in half with a knife! I never even heard of that before and I ended up throwing the remains in the garbage. Never did I think I could ever be that disappointed with my most favorite guilty pleasure! Unless this was just some kind of fluke I.e. they just had a bad day, I don’t understand how this place got on the map as being a destination for donuts. I hate giving bad reviews but the quality was so poor, I have no desire to go back.

This is a mixed review because for me it is perfect, but for other in my family, not so perfect. The flavors here are very potent. For example, the orange and ginger scones have actual pieces of ginger in them. And not the sugar coated kind, but the kind you find served with sushi. The PB&J donut has very strong peanut butter flavor and a fantastic glob of jelly in the middle. I thought it was excellent, but beware to those who don't want insanely strong flavors.

July 2019 by TripTips14
My family and I made our first visit to the Bread Company in search of butter beer donuts! They are available only during the month of July in honor of Harry Potter’ birthday. Well, they did not disappoint and the good news is that it’s not too late! They are available thrum and including July 31. If butter beer is no your thing, there is a wide variety of donuts and undoubtedly something for everyone’s palate. The donuts are delicious! Tips: 1) order online, at least 2 days in advance 2) remember there is a 4 donut limit on the Harry Potter Donuts but you can try some of the other delights! 3) if you have a craving for the butter beer donuts & you did not order in advance then arrive when the store opens because they sell out very quickly. 4) if you miss this post and July has passed, come back next year because this has become an annual event. Enjoy!

I went to the baby's first food with Caitlin Kiarie and it was really nice. She's very high energy, friendly, and approachable. You can definitely tell she cares about teaching nutrition and I definitely walked away learning some stuff. I only recommend they upgrade some of the chairs, since they weren't comfortable for long sessions.

I have been going to the studio for various classes and workshops for almost 2 years. All the staff is super nice and helpful. The owner is super understanding and always gets beck to you right away if you have an issue. The classes and workshops have been super helpful, effective and I am super happy I found this place.

I am so thrilled that I found Montclair Baby early in my second trimester when pregnant with my first child. The yoga classes have helped me adjust to my body's changes during each phase of pregnancy and helped me feel so much more at ease. The hypnobirthing classes with Kim are helping me so much to feel as prepared as possible for birthing my baby, emotionally, mentally and physically. She is so knowledgeable, easy to connect with, and honest, and I feel she is truly equipping me for the easiest birth possible by flowing with my baby and trusting that my body is made for this. Finally, Jen's infant care and breastfeeding class taught me and my husband so much and answered so many of our questions. I truly want to thank Kelli, the owner of Montclair Baby, for this gift she has given to all the mamas and mamas to be in the area by offering so many types of support and a community for us to come together in!
