PROS: -close to my house -NJ still uses plastic bags (which I recycle all the time at home) - the store is clean - employees are friendly and knowledgeable. CONS - frequently put the wrong cheese in the "pre sliced section". This is a HUGE pet peve of mine. Many times I've paid for pre-sliced LOL cheese and a far cheaper cheese had been put in the bag and mislabeled. ( Yes the printed label is wrong, I didn't mistakenly buy a package put in the wrong section ) I can expect a mistake once, but 3 times in a year?! Makes me think that either their intentionally being deceitful, or their employees are not attentive to details. - some items are frequently out of stock such as hash brown patties, several varieties of canned seltzer, both colors of bell pepper, ect. Overall a decent store. If the employees weren't so friendly and helpful I might shop elsewhere.

Yesterday, 10/18/2020. My fiancé and I visited this store to purchase some items, and we noticed that the seafood section had catfish nuggets. We were so excited because we haven't had catfish nuggets in a while and we really enjoy them. There was nobody at the seafood counter; we waited for a while. Finally I went to the butcher section and I noticed that the butcher was not wearing a mask, and had no gloves on. He was cutting a prepping meat with his bare hands. I asked him if there was anybody to help us with the seafood, he said somebody will be over shortly. After no one came for about five or 10 minutes, he said he would help us. Again, he had no mask or gloves on. I asked if he could please put on a mask and he said no because he's wearing a face shield. Face shields are not replacements for masks. Face shields are extra protection that you wear in addition to masks. We are currently in the mist of a pandemic and for him to refuse to wear a mask is, unsanitary, unsafe and completely unacceptable. I am perplexed by his refusal to wear a mask. Please be careful when buying any store prepped meats!

Thi ShopRite is the best. The employees are always friendly and go out of the way to help. They always have what I am looking for and at great prices. With the pandemic, the shelves have been a little bare, but that is everywhere.

I use the ShopRite from Home service via the Montague store. This review is not a reflection of the service itself, as my orders are generally filled with few errors and the delivery drivers are usually on time. There are certain products that seem limited at the Montague store vs. other ShopRites, but again, this review is essentially about the global Shop-from-Home website. It was bad BEFORE the coronavirus... Now it is ATROCIOUS. The site will sometimes refresh and wipe out your entire cart mid-shopping. Other times, the cart doesn't update when you add items, and when it does, you'll have a randomly selected surplus. 14 boxes of bandaids, great!! But the main issue is the checkout process... Again, before coronavirus, there were problems where payment had to be entered and submitted multiple times before the site accepted it. Now, good luck getting an order in. The people who built this thing must have only envisioned 5 customers using it at a time. There are constant error messages and extreme lags in site responsiveness. To add insult to injury, ShopRite is manually opening up delivery windows at different times each week... Before the CV scare, any time you logged in, you could see 6 days in advance. Now, ShopRite artificially blocks off days (even though they aren't actually reserved), and then at an unpredictable moment, opens delivery blocks for as many as 8-10 days in advance. There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason as to how things are working. Pretty sure a monkey is working a lever somewhere. I've seen these windows open up late at night, early in the morning, early afternoon... it's pure guesswork. Somebody needs to optimize the Shoprite website and fast. It's not right that I'm able to log in, actually see an available delivery time-slot, reserve it, have a cart of items, and then be forced to attempt check-out 30 times only to lose the slot (and any other available slot for 10 days) because of piss poor web design. Do better, ShopRite. Just do better. Please hire a real developer who isn't a freshman in high school (no offense to high schoolers intended).

They are an OK ShopRite. The prices are a little higher than the other ShopRites I visit.

This Location is always so busy it feels like you are entering the thunderdome to buy a gallon of milk. The delivery service is also entirely unsatisfactory. Accross 5 orders items have been missing every time, and the drivers were always rude and a minimum of an hour late. This lateness always comes without a phone call, email, text message, nothing. It also results in all of your frozen goods being defrosted by the time they reach you. I have been trying to resolve $30 worth of missing items from my last delivery for 3 weeks now, to no avail. Amanda promised me a refund a week ago, and told me I would be receiving an email shortly detailing this, meanwhile no email or other communication has been received regarding this over a week later. I also never received this refund, for $30 worth of goods that I paid for that were never delivered. You are much better off taking a short ride down the highway to price chopper for a much more quiet and friendly shopping experience.

This store used to have a deli worth shopping at. Consistently out of the 8pc fried Chicken. Plenty of roaster, and tenders. Unfortunately I don't want either. It's getting to the point, I'm not going to even bother with this location. They used to be good, they used to always have it, no longer. Once again, I'm off to another store

Management needs to reassess the produce department. Maybe the staff is getting complacent because no one complains? No garlic and no thyme on a regular Saturday mid afternoon. I will not come here to shop anymore bc this happens ALL the time. I'll go to Walmart or Key food first.

For the past 2 years I have been having an order delivered from this Shoprite every week. Amanda in Shop From Home is the BEST. Before this store I was using warwick which was a nightmare. They were so bad in fact that I was hesitant to even try another shoprite. But I'm glad I did. They are human and sometimes get things wrong, but whenever I call and explain about the problem item, they take care of it graciously. Mostly though, everything is right, and good, and I'm happy. The line of Wholesome Pantry organic food is a plus. The produce department is not great but we have another local grocer that is great, so that balances out for me. This Shoprite dairy department has good grass fed and organic products - eggs milk yogurt sourcream cheese etc. and no one else around here offers any of these items. Their bakery is good. They have a good selection of organic products including frozen foods and snacks, better than anyone else around. The only true negatives involve the website and ordering, which I do not think should be a reflection of the store. It is a general Wakefern - Shop From Home website, set up for all the stores. The search feature is terrible. I can find a product, put into the search a phrase from the title, and the search will come back with no results. They do not list so many of the items they actually have in stock, especially in produce. The items listed do not reflect what category they are found in, and ingredients are often missing. Many times I have tried to order and it just won't take an order, or times me out, or did not reflect changes I made to my cart. I wonder if they realize how many hundreds if not thousands of my dollars they would have had in sales over the last 2 years had the website been better. But in any case, the Montaque store Shop From Home Staff has handled me professionally and helped me out almost every time I've asked. I do recommend this service and this store, and I hope the website gets more attention.
