Just joined and then took my wife shooting for the first time. The range master was super helpful in teaching my wife how to shoot. The building itself is very modern, clean, and has everything you’d want in a range. The classes offered are awesome as well. I’d recommend this place to anyone who has their own guns.

I went to Recoil for the first time because they offered the best CCW class for shooters who are already proficient and don’t want to step through the pre reqs others require. With that said the instructors Rob and Bob do an amazing job at instructing but also making sure all in class are safe even asking anyone who breaks a rule to leave. They take about 2.5 hours slowly going through the details of use of force , giving examples, and advise. In that they do a brief holster draw walk through where everyone lines up no ammo or mags and dry fires their weapons. As we draw about 50-70 times they carefully watch and help students always keeping the safety of all their number one goal! All very professional and up to the NJ standard.Then they take you out to the beautiful range at recoil and have you step through the shooting exam section of the class. Keeping everyone safe while on the range. This part was the most fun for obvious reasonsI truthfully couldn’t have asked for a better safer and more professional set of guys to learn from. I’m very happy with recoil NJ and their instructors and would recommend them for any class from beginners courses to CCW courses. You will not regret it

First time coming here and it was such a pleasant experience. I was worried the range was going to be uptight like another range i've been to in Jersey but man it was a GREAT experience.All the staff was friendly and fun to interact with!Shoutout to Dan and Nelson at the front desk for being so chill!And shoutout to Ken in the range for being so friendly and inviting!Cant wait to go back

The Recoil Shooting range IS, hands down, the premier indoor range for Central New Jersey, if not all of New Jersey.Some quick pointers as most, if not all of the information is already available on the website:1. The range does not offer any rentals or sell any ammunition.2. Bring your range bags and make sure you have eye and ear pro; if not, no worries, there are some of those for sale.3. There are a good variety of target silhouettes and variations for sale.4. For newcomers, there is a bit of an in-processing bit in terms of signing waivers and watching a range-safety video (this should not come as a surprise).5. DO NOT HESISTATE TO ASK QUESTIONS OR BRING UP ISSUES. I can assure you that the staff is more than willing to help and assist you. There are no stupid questions - if you don't know something, there is no embarrassment to seeking help. Again, the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable.The indoor range at Recoil Shooting in Monroe, New Jersey is a state-of-the-art facility that accommodates over a dozen lanes, divided in half based on the distance of those lanes. It is an extremely clean and well-organized facility that is operated by professionals of the craft. From the range safety officers (RSO) to the managers/owners, Recoil Shooting offers top-notch service to the community through awareness, education, and training. With that being said, Recoil Shooting offers a very inclusive and safe atmosphere.My wife and I took advantage of one of our free days to go to Recoil Shooting range. Upon arriving, we were greeted by two very professional individuals that treated us with respect from beginning to end. We signed a waiver through a digital platform and paid to pay for the occupation of a lane with relative ease. We the proceeded to watch a required range-safety video which was an indication of the business' seriousness toward safety, but also, attention to detail.The lanes themselves were clean and well maintained. Each lane had a tablet-like platform that operated a rail system which managed target delivery. The system was very self-explanatory to use; however, a RSO was present to assist with any needs or questions that a patron may have.Jeff was our RSO that day. Sometimes the presence of a RSO may seem overbearing and micromanage-y, however, this was not the case at Recoil Shooting. Jeff knew exactly what to look for, easily identified potential issues, while addressing them with the utmost professionalism.During our time on the lane, we were shooting my wife's brand-new, out of the box handgun and experienced what I perceived to be a misfire. I was able to get Jeff's attention who began to address the issue at hand. Jeff expertly assessed the situation and began to perform remedial action on the weapon system. His partner, who was extremely professional and knowledgeable as well came to assist, and ultimately made the call up to the manager who is a Glock-certified armorer. Within minutes, Dan arrived on site and quickly corrected the action - it turned out to be a combination of non-lubrication (silly us) with the deformity of a remanufactured round that caused the gun to jam. After this, we were well on our way back to putting rounds down range.All in all, these experts enabled us to have a great, enjoyable time. I would highly recommend Recoil Shooting for anyone looking to practice and refine their skills on their firearms!

We are a new members of Recoil and as a novice, I decided to take a private lesson with an instructor- Dan Guillen. I can say for sure I need it. I learned so much in those two hours and I feel more prepare and confident to come and practice shooting my new gun.Dan was Patient, professional and informative.I know that I can always go back and take another private lesson for adjustments if I need to, but my base is strong.Thank you Dan for a wonderful lesson.

Love this place! Joined right after first visit. Safe, clean, but, most importantly, everyone who works there is just a pleasure to deal with. And the RSOs are actually helpful and understanding.
