I use shop at home for home delivery. They charge $15 dollars, which for me is quite expensive, but, I don’t have transportation. Usually, I forget to order something before it’s billed out; which, they’re very nice about. However, many times when I add the item it doesn’t get applied to my SNAP account; instead, they charge it to my credit card. That winds up me paying $10 more out of pocket; which, they refuse to put on my SNAP account, because their scamming policy is that they don’t accept your SNAP card number and payment over the phone; which means that they want me to pay another $15 out of pocket for another delivery or lose my money. I feel like they’re stealing from me. I’ve also been in the situation where two young adult brats lied to me, admitted they lied and didn’t apologize. They were monsters. They had no remorse or empathy. Total narcissists. The manager didn’t even care when I told her. It’s as though these people don’t care that I’m a loyal customer for 5 years and spend 100’s of dollars monthly.

Be careful and pay attention to labels, they sell expired food! And by expired, I’m talking selling stuff in October that expired in June!

ShopRite from Home is the WORST. They never answer the phone and always claim they didn’t receive your “I’ve arrived” message. On weekday mornings it takes 20 minutes for them to bring your order to your car. Weekends? Forget it. And the SR from Home employee is a very, very unhappy person who wants to make you unhappy too.
UPDATE: Naturally, ShopRite responded to my review with the same canned message they send to every negative reviewer. It puts the oneness on the CUSTOMER to contact them. Shouldn’t SR be the ones doing something about their terrible SR from Home service? I already told them what’s wrong. Making customers go thru the extra step of filling out a complaint form is just a way to help ensure SR will never really have to deal with a problem.

Unwelcoming and unfriendly staff not greeted by anyone when walked by
Produce is constantly spoiled organic is questionable
Prices are ridiculously high compared to other markets in the area for the same products
No real benefit to living five minutes down the road
Price gouging on produce constantly out of stock on Deer Park water as well
No options on coconut water or other healthier options for drinks
The flower department is always great
Prices can be fair

I stopped going to this Shop-Rite for reasons being bad customer service. Some of their employees at the register are so rude and unfriendly. Even some of the customer service employees are rude, not a good example of customer service ! The prices there are horrendous, way more than what I spend elsewhere. I rather go down to Walmart in North Brunswick where I can buy the same amount of items and spend 40 to 50 dollars less, and the food is always fresh. Years ago when they opened up their parking lot was always packed on the weekends. I was surprised to see that on a Saturday the parking lot looked empty compared to what it used to look like. It's a shame that I live in town but I don't think I'll be going back to this store anymore. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

Overall a decent store if you're buying pre-packaged food. Unfortunately, I just brought home a bag of dead muscles. I have also purchased ribs that were pre-cooked but so dry that my guess is that they had been sitting there for at least a day. They can increase their quality control.

The girl on register 7 today was NOT friendly at all! I would have included her name on this review but of course her name tag was on backwards. I see why, because she’s nasty!

The pickup order service at ShopRite is awful! The pickup parking spots are hard to find. The workers weren’t helpful. The app is poorly designed that I can’t find where to press to let them know we are here. We arrived on time for the time slot reserved and received notification saying the order is completed but waited for almost 30min for our stuff to come out!

I do some light grocery shopping there so I'm always in and out especially going through self checkout. But I'm giving a 5☆ rating to the chinese hot bar in the food court. I'm picky when it comes to chinese cuisine and no lie their food is L.E.G.I.T! Lo mein has fresh long noodles with crunchy vegetables. BBQ, sesame, sweet chili chicken, all are tender not dried out. Haven't tried the fried rice yet but looks incredible. For real my go to as well as my daughter and granddaughter is the NOODLES? Highly addictive. Plus you serve yourself put as much as you want then they'll weigh it. Trust you get a lot for the price. Then take it 2go or chill in the dining area. That chinese joint keeps their section nice & clean and when the pans get low they take out the old and replace it with hot & steamy freshly made new pans. That's my low key little honeycomb hideout spot so ?. Don't even think it has a name but the food speaks for itself.
