In August 2025, I got my wife’s car washed here. When I approached the entrance, the employee asked if I wanted to try participating in a limited time offer where I could have unlimited washes for a month at an introductory rate of $21.00. I told him I was not interested, but then he told me that the trial cost about the same as a wash, and that at the end of the month I would NOT be automatically renewed, so I agreed to trying out the offer.
I recently looked over my credit card statement more closely and noticed that modwash has charged me $36.24 five times, which totals to $181.20. I am very upset that this occurred as I was told very clearly that it would NOT. I have not gotten my car washed at Modwash once after I paid for the trial in August.
I did not sign anywhere agreeing to a recurring subscription. I handed the worker my card, he swiped it, clicked a few times on the screen, and sent me on to the wash. I was clearly either manipulated into signing up for a recurring subscription, or the employee working was truly oblivious to terms of the offer modwash that Modwash was offering.
I have reached out to the phone number and email online requesting a refund and have not heard back. I tried canceling my membership to prevent further charges, and the online membership site does not provide a way for people to cancel their memberships. Please help me to resolve this ASAP so I have a better impression on your company.
UPDATE: I visited Modwash today and spoke to the general manager, Nathan. He was very understanding to my situation. He immediately canceled my membership and refunded me for the last 3 months of membership charges with no questions asked. There are 2 additional months he was unable to refund me for, as their system was updated last year and he could not access those charges. It is proving to be extremely difficult to get the central Modwash offices on the phone. Nathan offered to email them directly for me if I couldn’t get through so I may have to reach out to him again.
UPDATE: Modwash has responded to me and has communicated that their policy of “no refunds if you don’t cancel your subscription within 5 days of the subscription charge” is a non negotiable policy and has apologized “that there was a misunderstanding of the subscription.” Apparently the fact that the worker signed me up himself without my permission does not qualify as a reason to request a refund. Mind you not once during these 5 months after I was falsely subscribed did I receive even ONE text message about my subscription. I have disputed the charges with my credit company and will no longer be putting any energy in trying to talk with the central Modwash workers as they clearly do not customer satisfaction at the top of their list as they claim.

This car wash is really coming up! Alot of stuff that had been down for a while is now up and running, as well as the second and member lanes are open again. Im glad to see this car wash getting better.

Millville location. Horrible. Half of the car wash doesn't work. Brushes never touch top of hood or roof. Rinse spray from top shoots out in 1 power stream, doesn't get all soap off of car. Side rinse sprayers not working. Also dryers at the end working poorly,

Honestly didn’t wash half my car. The windshield is still full of salt. My hatch looks like it was never touched. Waste of $27

Paid $21 for my car to look like a drunk person did it. No towels/cleaners were available at the end, vacuums were missing, some were laying detached on the ground. Last time I will go there

Second time this week that I tried multiple times to get my vehicle washed and the wash is not open. This has happened 3-4 times in the last few weeks. Paying a monthly fee for something that is not available is not acceptable. Their website is down as well. Can't even cancel the membership so I can go elsewhere. Paying for a different car wash since they are still not operational.
Update: Email given on the response does not work. Can someone please advise on who I can call to cancel the monthly service. Thank you.

This large corporation understood my current situation. They noticed I had not used my account in a couple of months and they actually refunded me because of that non usage. That’s a very fair assessment.
It reminded me that I’ve always had a great experience here at the Millville ModWash. Just not down here enough to go temporarily.
