“I went to 3 different transmission shops before deciding on this shop! I'll start with this: the difference in price from this shop to the highest quote I got was $6,145. The difference in price to the second shop was $2,400! Needless to say, this shop is very affordable! Second, Mike (I believe is the owner) great communication, flexibility, explanation of everything and accommodating. Sean (I think this is how you spell it), the mechanic was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions, gave his professional opinion and advised us on what to do as far as caring for the transmission going forward. I highly recommend this shop or at least go speak to them before making a final decision! 5 STARS! I'll be taking my mom's car there and my boss is also in line for taking his car there soon.”

I have a 2015 Ford Explorer XLT, and this was my first visit here. They fit me in on the same day I called to make an appointment, diagnosed my issues, gave me a written estimate, AND completed all of my services within the same day (completely replaced front & rear bakes, rotated tires, replaced driver’s side headlight bulb, and replaced front & rear wiper blades)!

“My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Aamco Transmissions & Total Car Care in Metuchen. After having been totally ignored for 3 days at a local dealer and sadly realizing our car needed a transmission, I read the great reviews about Craig at Aamco and believed good things must be happening there. We had our car towed there and were so happy we did. Once we contacted Craig at Aamco, our situation changed dramatically. Craig was extremely responsive, did an immediate diagnostic test and clearly explained what needed to be done. His price was very fair. His staff THOROUGHLY looked over the car, found a few things that also needed fixing and did them without charging us extra. We couldn't be happier. “Had a battery issue with my AMG after installing an aftermarket screen, team diagnosed the issue quickly (faulty battery) and replaced in 30-45 minutes tops. Took me in for a quick visit with 1 days notice which is unheard of vs the manufacturer service centers. Highly recommend the shop.”

“If you are ever in need of a new transmission, I highly recommend Varga Auto Repair and Transmission Center! I made the unfortunate choice of purchasing a 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, all of which only have a transmission life of approximately only 60,000 miles! Not only did the company refuse to take accountability for their defective product, but the dealership also wanted to charge me an exorbitant price to replace it! Thank God I found Frank at Varga, who was so compassionate, concerned, knowledgeable and supportive! “I can't speak on their work because they don't work on the specific problem I had. However, what I can speak to is how honest they are, and how quick and easy it was to get to the bottom of things. And if anyone feels concerned about trusting mechanics, which is common, they understand how important it is to be able to feel comfortable with them, and to feel like the experience was easy and to the point. They weren't able to help with this, but they gave me good reason to go back for other services they do handle, and I already sent my girlfriend to them, and her experience was just as good.”

“I had an emergency situation. The engine on my main car blew. I had a car that was supposed to be a project for my son, but had no choice but to get it fixed quick. Sadly, I went to go to my longtime mechanic and found that he had passed away recently. I brought it here to Majestic and he had diagnosed everything and repaired it very quickly. I didn't even miss one day of work. I was scared that the price was going to be outrageous because of the great work that was done but it was not. “The owner and his team here are great. Several of the mechanics have been here for years. Pricing is right, they are super friendly, and they don’t seem to try and sell you on unnecessary nonsense. They are accommodating with scheduling and they definitely appreciate their customers. When one of my cars was getting older they started work, figured out it was a bigger issue than expected, and then put it back together without any charge so I could just go sell it.
I highly recommend.”
