2 excellent golf courses and very well maintained. Hard to believe they’re public courses. The greens are as good as you’ll find at a private club.

Great place to golf... challenging, but a high handicapper can get along fine. Well kept, two courses, typically on time, nice employees in the proshop. Expensive, but that's every course in monmouth county. No real complaints

Absolutely terrible communication. Showed up 15 minutes before my tee time to play this morning just to find out my tee time is delayed 3 hours. No email, no phone call, no posting on website. They told me I was expected to know there would be a delay. It's a shame such a nice course is managed by such imbeciles.

PLAY HERE BEFORE THE 2023 GOLF SEASON IS OVER!*I’ve played thrice since August*This place is so well run. From the extensive short game practice area to the massive practice putting greens, this is a must play course. As my photos show, the fairways and fringe are in phenomenal condition. I played during late August, mid-September, and early October and the place stays PRIME.Pace of play is great and the staff are quite friendly.Arrive early and take advantage of the practice areas. The South course is challenging enough even when playing from the tips. All parts of your game are used when here.Seriously, get here and play.

With the exception of a Lone Ranger being less than a nice guy it was a very nice course and well paced round. Nice layout. Will play again.

We stumbled on Charleston Springs Golf course while on vacation to the shore. We played the South course (versus the North which we were told had more water in play) course was in good shape, pace of play was really good, some forgiving holes, some not so forgiving. Definitely have to be mindful of your distances, greens were in great shape and really true. Definitely recommend

Well maintained. Large practice areas. Busy course...your ball may go missing if you over shoot.

played the north course on 6/4/23. shocked at how poor the greens were. slow and bumpy. the group ahead of us had at least 1 hole open ahead of them the entire time and they were riding, beginners taking 10 shots on every hole. not one ranger came around to speed them up. legit 5 hour round and i started at 10am. really disappointing.

Been here twice. South course both times.Pros.- beautiful maintained course- not over crowded- great twilight pricing- challengingCons- Marshalls are known for being real a-holes. Seems like they go around looking for anything to yell at. I understand trying to keep the course etiquette and rules enforced. I just think the approach needs some work.

Part of the Monmouth county golf courses. Two courses here: South course is traditional; North course is links style. Both are nice layouts, architecturally pleasing, fun to play, and not overly difficult for the average golfer. Conditions are very good for a public facility. Fairways rolling and undulating. Greens fairly straight forward and not too difficult. Rough is consistent and thick. Course length is on the shorter side, especially from the white tees so if you are use to playing the whites at other courses then play the gold tees here. I wish the greens were a little better condition (reason for 4 stars instead of 5) as they have quite a few old ball marks. Bunkers are rarely raked. These are more indicative of the type of golfer who plays here rather than the maintenance of the course. Lots of hackers out there which can slow the pace of play. Cost is very reasonable especially for non resident. Best bet cost wise is mid week after 2pm ($33 walking) or 4pm ($20 walking) and the courses are usually wide open at this time of day. My experience with the staff has been nothing but positive. They are friendly and helpful - much nicer than most courses I've played. If you haven't yet played here, give it a shot, you will enjoy it.

The nickel and dime course. Advertise a $47 round, then hit you with a cart fee for each rider at the course, not to mention the $18 booking fee for 3 golfers. Cart path only for absolutely zero reason given when asked, and a closed down "grill", so be sure to bring your own coffee, snacks, etc... wouldnt be surprised if they charged you for that too. I would much rather play a course in worse condition, that was up front about expenses, than feel like I'm being scammed. The fact is, with so many other courses nearby, I have absolutely no reason to ever come to this poorly run course again.
