Patient care is still great but every other quality of the experience at spring mills vet seems to be steadily declining. The biggest issue seems to be staffing, or lack of, and the result is a very extended wait at your "appointment time". Dr. Smith's coarse manner has driven patients and veterinary staff away so now they are constantly short-staffed. The lack of staff doesn't seem to affect the appointment schedule so they are just cramming in appointments that they cannot handle. If you have a pet that doesn't enjoy time in the car or carrier then please be prepared. You are forced to wait in your car outside until they are ready to bring the pet in to examine or treat. The typical wait time between the scheduled appointment time and when your pet will actually be allowed inside is upto ~30-40 minutes on most days. Once Dr Smith is available, the examination seems rushed which is likely due to the over-booking and under staffing conditions.

Very nice, professional staff. My 2 rescue pups got spayed there. The whole experience went smoothly. They explained the process, gave me timely status updates and took great care of my babies.

Everyone is super friendly and kind. They've been so helpful and thorough with our dog and they seem very up to date on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine. I really like how we wait with our dog in the car instead of in the lobby. We are so lucky this is our local vet hospital!

We are new to this office, but both of my cats have been taken care of so well already. One of them is very nervous after a traumatic incident as a kitten and Dr. Smith was very patient with her and direct with all contact which brought calm to her. I am so grateful they know what they are doing and know animals well. So impressed with them!

Fantastic place and people(with the exception of that ONE) my dogs have been taken care of to the upmost, dr. Smith I feel has gone above and beyond and is very available whenever I’ve been there and I appreciate that greatly doesn’t happen much anymore!
