I try to avoid megastores, and support local business like this. However is very dissapointed find a rude an grumpy person running this business. Do not expect any courtesy or serious advise for any of your projects. better drive a few miles a pay less in a home depot

Super friendly and chatty chap at the counter was more than happy to help me with my purchase even as i interrupted his lunch. Plan your visit between11:30am and 1:00pm and the shop owners will be so pleased to help you. Even better, bring your lunch and enjoy the kindness and ambiance. A must see for any traveler from New York, real small town hospitality!!

Moninghoff is a small business in presence but don't let that fool you, they are exceeding in service and supplies. Dependable and Knowledgeable. They go out of their way to find what you need and acquire it for your convenience. (IWS) Imagination Workshop Studio is our sister Division studio that purchases supplies for Set Construction, Prop Fabrication, Miniature Effects, Rod Puppets, Special Make-Up Effects, Costumes and more.

I’d give a one star but they do have a decent amount of stuff there even if it’s over priced, but today I walked in to buy bee spray and the gentleman who came out from the back said “wow another person who doesn’t know it’s lunch time, go figure”. I’ve dealt with this man before and he always came off as gruff and not caring but that comment was just rude, he was also rude when I went to pay. I’m done going into this store where it’s hard to find stuff and you pay too much to be treated like your bothering the guy working there. Sorry that I disturbed your lunch sir, won’t happen again.

Incredibly rude man who I assume is the owner. Guy answers the phone with a "what do you want attitude". I walk in and no one is there so I start saying "hello" and "excuse me", I get no answer. When I get back to where I can see the front again this guy is at the front desk and still doesn't say a word. Even after I got him to talk he was rude as can be. Acted like a customer coming in was the worst thing that could've happened to him that day. Do him a favor and just go somewhere else, I'll surely never return. I don't leave reviews either, but this experience was that bad. Had to google how to leave a google review, that's how little I know about leaving reviews. Safe wishes

Horrible service. I was installing a breaker switch on my breaker box. I've basic knowledge but don't know all the different types and whatnot. I went to Home Depot first and they had a guy help me but didn't have what I needed, so I called this place. He answered the phone with a "what do you want" kind of attitude. If I didn't call two other places beforehand I prob would've hung up right there but I needed it. I told him I needed a Siemens 40amp breaker switch, he didn't ask any questions about what type, style...etc. and I don't know enough to mention any of that. He said he has it so I drive 40 min to the shop. When I walk in there is no one in sight. I start walking down the ridiculously tight aisle saying "hello", "excuse me", and when I make my way to a point where I can see the front desk again, this guy is just standing there, leaning on the counter. Didn't say a word. No, "hello I'll be right with you", or literally anything else to let me know there was someone there. I was snaking up and down each aisle so at some point he had to of been on the other side of an aisle or something, hearing me request help. I walk up and say, "Hello, I'm the one who called about the breaker". I had the old breaker in my hand as a reference for myself. He walks around the counter, still not a word said and then he looks in my hand and says, "you didn't tell me it was a CH". I said, "I told you everything that the people at Home Depot told me and you said you had it. I don't know that much about breaker switches". He replies, "well you didn't say that and I don't have that kind". I tried to ask a couple of questions and he kept cutting me off, putting his hand up at the same time like he was telling me to stop and not finish my question. He says he's trying to educate me and my response was he wasn't doing a good job. Keep in mind I've been polite, smiling, offering greetings, and doing all the normal things you do when meeting someone, and he's acting like having a customer come in was the worst thing that could've happened that day. After I said that he says, "ya know what, you can just get out!" My response was, "happily, forget you and forget this store". Then I left. I've read other reviews of this place after my visit and they seem pretty mixed. Some say the owners are rude and others have good visits. I'll never step foot back in this place. I've worked in customer service for years and everything that happened was a perfect example of terrible customer service. So bad that I'm writing this review and I've NEVER written a review for a store before. In fact, I had to create this account in order to write this. Hope this helps others. Next time, I'll just wait a couple of days for the Home Depots supply order to come in. Safe wishes.

The store is tight and hard to navigate but the staff are always helpful. Yesterday myself and another customer walked in 5 minutes before closing on a Saturday needing crucial parts to fix our respective toilets. The man working immediately jumped in to help me find a crafty solution to my problem and it worked perfectly when I got home. Really appreciated his willingness to help both of us even though it meant closing the store a few minutes late.

The woman up front is arrogant and rude. Got a phone call as I was browsing which she didn't like and got incredibly nasty. Purchased what I had so far (which I had plans for a number of items) and told her don't worry I won't be bothering you anymore. So much for shopping small.
