“Matko boska! The selection and prices here are very good. I will return to this establishment and Polish district overall. I would however check the expiration date on things to make sure they aren't already expired before you buy. I bought about 50 items and I only found 1 or 2 that were expired but a few that would be expiring within the next 60 days. The other problem here is the lady that works there is from the communist Poland era so don't expect any good customer service skills. She seems annoyed at having to work here and isn't willing to help much, probably didn't get any Biden bucks.”

I love that they carry unique produce that you may only find in households that for example, predominantly cook Indian or Dominican food. They also have a ton of unique sauces and spices that you will not find at your average grocery store. In general, better pricing than most stores. (Though the difference is not as much as they used to be. For example the chocolate chips used to be at least a dollar cheaper than ShopRites brand. Now it’s only about 25¢. The chocolate chips are VERY good!!! )”

“I love Food Universe. It’s been under new management for just over a year and now, it’s a great place to shop. The staff is professional and friendly. I go there first thing in the morning sometimes to grab breakfast essentials (because life lol) and no matter the time of day, they’re welcoming and kind. I’m really happy that I live so close so I can shop small and local regularly and in a pinch. They also have 5 gallon bottled water in the front which is a big deal for our family. Quick and convenient.”

“A very nice salad bar as well as a Mediterranean bar with olives, hummus, tzatziki, foafel, et cetera.
The sushi selection is quite good in terms of the supermarket sushi. The portion sizes are large for the price and taste very good.
The Produce selection is also quite nice, fresh and high quality.
There are plenty of self-checkout lanes as well as actual cashiers, so there's usually not a high volume in terms of lines to check out.”
