This afternoon, my friend Maria and I were in Middletown, New Jersey, and ventured into the Pet Shoppe at Squire Plaza.
We were met with a heartwarming sight as we stepped through the door - two magnificent Golden Retrievers wagging their tails and greeting us with friendly barks and licks; these dogs belonged to The Pet Shoppe’s owner, Dana. Dana welcomed us with a warm smile, and we could immediately tell her genuine love for animals.
The delightful ambiance of the place immediately struck us - there was no overpowering smell of confined animals, no sense of suffering or neglect. Instead, the puppies at the Pet Shoppe were happily playing in spacious pens, interacting with other puppies, and receiving all the care and attention they deserved.
Dana took pride in offering a diverse selection of small, medium, and giant breeds of puppies, ensuring that each one was healthy, well-socialized, and came from responsible breeders. The Pet Shoppe was a business and a sanctuary for these furry companions, where they were treated with love and respect.
We are immensely impressed that the Pet Shoppe was a proud NJ Coalition of Responsible Pet Stores member, standing firm against puppy mills and unethical breeding practices. We knew that when the time came to bring a new furry family member home, the Pet Shoppe would be their first choice, where we could find a loving companion to cherish for a lifetime.
And so, the afternoon at the Pet Shoppe became a memory filled with warmth, joy, and the promise of a future bond with a healthy four-legged friend. As we left the shop, we were happy knowing there was a place like the Pet Shoppe where animals were truly valued and cared for.

Great place to get your new best friend. Staff was very polite and informative on our new pup. We adopted an english cream golden retriever 5 months ago and it’s the best decision our family has made she’s wonderful.

I knew exactly what I wanted: A female, chocolate or silver dapple, long hair, miniature dachshund puppy. I was warned away from pet shops, but the many online sources I tried were unable to produce her or outright scams. So, I tried THE Pet Shoppe. Within a couple of weeks, the women there sent me a photo of the puppy I asked them to special order, and soon after that, I took her home. Pituka is now a beautiful and lovable two year old. Dog walkers and just walkers alike in my town all know Pituka by name and call to her. People who never said, 'hello' to me have become our friends. Thanks to The Pet Shoppe. Joel

The Pet Shop was clean. We believe our puppy is a little bigger then a Minature Schnauzer. She is alittle over 17 months. She is very smart and loves us as much as we love her. Ruby loves to play and eats lots of veggies with her food.

My wife and I purchased a Golden Retriever for our little son, who was 2 years old at the time. We’ve had Max for 3 years now, and he is absolutely a part of the family. We are forever grateful to The Pet Shoppe!

Highly recommend The Pet Shoppe! Bought 2 of our dogs from here and couldn’t be any happier with our fur babies! Our 6 year old yellow lab and 8 month old mini poodle came from super impressive pedigree lines and Dana and staff go above and beyond with all their puppies and customers who enter their store! This is one pet shop you will not be disappointed in purchasing your new puppy at!

We couldn't be happier with our beautiful puppy. We've had many dogs in the past and I have to say this one takes the cake! I can't wait to come back for another one. My little girl needs a sister now! I've had the best experience possible with The Pet Shoppe!!!

I just purchased my second golden retriever from the owner Dayna. Who is absolutely a wonderful person. She truly cares about these puppies. They are so healthy n well taken care of. The staff there is amazing as well. I can’t thank Dayna and her staff enough and thank them enough for my two wonderful dogs!!!

Great selection of puppies! I almost didn't know which one to pick! Luckily their staff is super helpful especially Tara. She super sweet and knows what she's doing! Made the whole family very happy! Also a super clean shop!

Very clean place and they care about their puppies. They made sure our puppy was 100% healthy before we could take him home and the puppies are seen by a vet regularly & after a week Tracy called us to make sure he was doing well which was very kind.
Kaiba is a wonderful addition to our family and we are very happy!

The staff is very knowledgeable and personable. The Pet Shoppe is very clean and the animals are very well cared for.

Bought a puppy 2 yrs ago. This dog is smart, loving playful and healthy. She's a small bread, but Flys threw the air like superman.
