really enjoy working out at Retro Fitness in Lincroft. The staff is friendly and helpful, there is a great variety of equipment, and there is a high level of equipment availability at the time I usually go (early morning). My only suggestion is to leave a little more space between machines. For bigger guys like me, squeezing through to use some machines can be a bit difficult. Overall, however, I always leave feeling I had a great workout experience and am ready to start my day feeling great physically and mentally!

Pleasant manager/staff. The gym is run well. Equipment is in great shape. The gym etiquette among members is 8/10. Plenty of natural light so it doesn’t feel like a dungeon on a nice day.

I have never been treated so rudely by staff in my entire life. During slightly over a year at this location, I had 3 incorrect charges on my account. The first one was resolved easily, but the last two were not. The last two amounted to $50 total, and instead of refunding my the money, Tommy, who seems to be the employee in charge, gave me so much attitude despite me being nothing but polite. He tried to blame me for the charges and argued with me when I asked for a refund despite him explicitly telling me in the past I was not going to be charged. He also argued with me right in front of the owner, who seems to tolerate this behavior and would not respond to me trying to reach out to him to solve the problem. To this day I still have not gotten $10 out of the $50 back. It also took me over 3 weeks and 4 times of asking him just to get the $40 back. Go here if you want to be treated horribly and have a massive headache anytime something goes wrong with your account.

Newer treadmills which have touchscreen displays with social media apps, pre-recorded workouts.New floor in reception area. New lockers installed this year. Facility is maintained nicely and updated.

The gym itself is not bad for a retro. Basic machines pretty good layout, just missing a few pieces of equipment that could be beneficial. However I have noticed the clientele is getting worse by the day. Disrespectful teens that hover over machines and equipment for what seems like hours hogging up space and useful items. They don't seem to know basic gym etiquette which can be infuriating at times. Other than that great and friendly staff, solid gym. Just watch out for the TikTok wanna be teens that love leaving their stuff alllll over the locker room (picture for reference) and hogging equipment.

Just started my membership. The staff is super friendly and helpful and it's overall an awesome environment to be around. My beginning process was super easy and quick. Cant wait to continue my membership.
