2105 NJ-35, Middletown“I was on my way down from upstate NY area to babysit for my grand daughter in Middletown, NJ and had a few days worth of meds etc with me since I usually stay for 2-3 days. My car was broken into when we stopped for my husband to go to his dentist appointment in Riverdale, NY. The bag that had all my medications in it was stolen. This CVS is not my regular CVS, however, I am in the CVS computer. Gloria went above and beyond to try to get me an emergency override at MY pharmacy which is Express Scripts so that SHE could fill an emergency script for me for 4 different medications. She was on the phone with them for 45 minutes and on the phone with me back and forth giving me updates on progress. We did file a police report but the file number was not readily available for 24 hrs. This complicated everything. Finally, Gloria was able to get 3 of my scripts for me, paying out of pocket and one did go thru the insurance, One week later I went back into the same CVS (babysitting again) and spoke with June who was able to use the police report file number to get me a refund of the difference from what the insurance would pay and what I paid out of pocket. They were all AMAZING! They did all this for me without even knowing who I was. This is dedication and professionalism to their field. This is a public THANK YOU to Gloria and June and Rachel (who spoke to me on the phone a few times during this ordeal) for helping to keep me healthy during a crisis. Deb Rubin”

1200 NJ-35, Middletown“How does this location have such poor reviews. It makes no sense. Every time I have come here they have everything I need from special glues to specific eye drops. The staff at the pharmacy and front and amazing and go above and beyond to assist. I would like to mention Jenna M, the gentleman that fishes (John I think), the gentleman transfer from Highlands location. Everyone. What a shame people post bad reviews bc they don't deserve it.”

375 NJ-36, Port Monmouth“A local drug store and convenient store I guess you can say they have prescription medications as well as over the counter items like vitamins, minerals, medical items such as blood sugar test kits, canes, crutches , etc, food items, paper products, water, they exchange propane tanks at a number of stores makeup, toys, health and beauty items, seasonal, greeting cards, pet products, photos, you can have invitations, thank you cards, and various items printed using photos off of a cell phone, you can drop off or pick up shipping items and there's a lot of other options of things that I have not even mentioned.
Come in and check it out the store you will be pleasantly surprised of all of the selections in each of their departments and they have a store card that you can accumulate points on that can be used towards your purchases.
What I don't like about Walgreens is the automated phone system especially when you are trying to reach the pharmacy 1) trying to speak to the pharmacy representatives 2) trying to refill your prescriptions it repeats incorrect information back to you @ times or will offer you a list of your prescriptions if you don't have the number on your prescriptions bottle @ the time of your call and it will say something like you have 12 prescriptions listed but you are only on like 4 prescriptions. 3) I don't like when I receive a phone call from Walgreens asking me if I need any prescriptions filled they originally filled the prescription so they should know when I would need a refill and I repeatedly stated to them that I will contact them whenever I need a refill and that I do not want to have any of the prescriptions on an automatic refill because if they fill one and my physician happens to change my prescription now I am stuck with a prescription that I am not longer taking. 4) I also receive phone calls from Walgreens asking if I want to have all of my prescriptions to all renew at the same time so I don't have keep returning to the store to pick them up in dribs and drabs A) no I don't B) the cost of all of the prescriptions at one time would cost a significant amount of money. C)
When you get a 90 day supply of your prescriptions and receive that for all of them at the same time where am I supposed to store all of them? And I asked what happenes if I have a prescription already and is not ready to be filled and I was told that they would give a few extra pills of that medicine but I would have to come back in to the pharmacy to pick up the remainder of the medication at another time so that kind of ruins the theory of getting all of the prescriptions at one time.
If more and more people go along with this you will have less and less people in your establishment which means that they are not buying your other products and low and behold you will be yet another business going out of business
Please STOP ALREADY with these types of phone calls especially when I have stated that those are things that I am not interested in it's like Walgreens is becoming a drug pusher so please put an end to these practices that you are doing and revamp the automated system you have to listen to about 2 minutes of the recording of the address, hours, lunch hours and so on before you get to make a choice for the department you are wishing to conduct your business with it's very annoying and time consuming.
5)Another dislike is one of your locations in Port Monmouth N.J.only has one pharmacist so the pharmacy hours vary from all of the other stores in the area and they are closed in the pharmacy section on the weekends, if you get to the pharmacy after 6:00 pm you are unable to get your prescription until the next day or on a Monday if you miss them on a Friday and if the Monday is a holiday you can not get your prescription until Tuesday. You need to hire another pharmacist and have uniform hours and days through out all of your locations”

“I was having surgery and was prescribed some meds to take prior. CVS online as it does a lot of times said it was out of stock but to come back in 2 days and check. I called and they said they didn't have it and would not - glad I called. Sunray had it and their pharmacist went out of her way to help. Now my pharmacy of choice as they answer the phone and do what they can to help”
