Since our daughter has been going Mathnasium she has had the confidence to participate in classroom discussions. She feels comfortable going to her regular math class because she learns the material beforehand. Class is now a reinforcement. If she feels like she doesn't understand a concept, she will mention this to her instructor at Mathnasium and they review the material. We have been using Mathnasium in Middletown for over four years now and it's been worth every penny. Their rates are reasonable but still, you can't put a price on instilling a sense of self-confidence in your child. Thank you, Mathnasium!

We love Mathnasium! My daughter's grades went from Cs to As once we started going to Mathnasium 2x a week. The teachers/staff are fantastic, and they do everything they possible to make sure your child is making progress. They are also great about checking in with parents to make sure all is going well and get their input. Highly recommend!

Mathnasium of Middletown has helped our children tremendously!!! Our 5th graders had trouble with their math and after 3 months of tutoring, our children went up 35 points. They actually like going to Mathnasium. They have come home with such a positive learning experience our high school student asked to go during the summer to get a jump on learning geometry. Mathnasium somehow makes math fun for kids to learn. We recommend Mathnasium to anyone who needs help with their math skills. You won't be disappointed :)

John Napoli and his team at Mathnasium are the best. Their coaching, training & approach towards the MCVSD exam is awesome. Thank you again John & team for helping my daughter Kavya achieve her goal.

I took this class to get into Communications, and this definitely improved my score. They cover everything you need to know about the MCVSD tests, including things you wouldn't expect. You might not use everything you learned, but taking this course will help improve your score and make you prepared for the test into whatever high school you choose.

In all honesty Mathnasium was a pain in the butt, it was challenging and they really drilled you but that is exactly what I needed. They pushed me to work harder and I really don't know how anyone could get into these high schools without this course. Mathnasium made it possible for me to make it into my dream high school.

I was able to get the tutoring I needed at a reasonable price to get into the high school I wanted. If looking to do prep, look no further

Mathnasium is a great facility with great people. Their sole concern is to not only help the students academically but also build self confidence. My son attended prep sessions for the MCVSD exam with the ultimate goal of being accepted to MAST. He utilized their resources and attended as many additional sessions as possible. Mathnasium did everything they could to help him and everyone else in their many sessions to be best prepared for the exam. My son was accepted to MAST. He does very well in school and is self motivated however I don't believe he would have been as prepared or as confident going into the test without Mathnasium. I have already recommended this facility to others for next years exam but also for general academic assistance. Based on my son's experience I will be enrolling my daughter for additional math tutoring. I highly recommend Mathnasium of Middletown.

I highly recommend Mathnasium for test prep services. My daughter applied to MAST this year and was accepted. Although she is a straight A student and in honors math, I am sure the Mathnasium test prep made the difference. First, the entrance exam content doesn't necessarily match well what is current being taught in the 8th grade. For example, if your child is in an Honors Algebra class, they are already working past what is tested and thus may not be freshest on the type of problems on the entrance exam. Likewise with English, my child hasn't had grammar instruction in English in years, but the test covers grammar mistakes. Since the MCVSD schools are so competitive, if your child is very serious about getting in, I recommend the extra edge that Mathnasium can provide. The take home practice materials that Mathnasium provides were right on par according to my daughter. She took the group classes and honestly, she didn't feel she learned much sitting in the actual class because the pace is fast with so much to cover, so it was either too fast for her for some things and too slow on others. However, the take home practice materials are very extensive, so she did most all of those problems and that was the key.Mathnasium also gives 2 practice tests with the group session so it's a good way to find out where your weaknesses are and then concentrate on those areas. One might also be surprised to find the test results don't match your expectations.I know many classmates that applied to MCVSD schools and those I know that went to Mathnasium all got the schools of their choice whereas the ones who did not maybe got in or maybe did not. So, if you child REALLY wants the school, do what you can to increase your chances.I also used Mathnasium a few years back for private math tutoring on NJASK in order to improve test scores so my daughter would qualify for the honors math track and was very happy as well with the private sessions. They were extremely helpful and my same daughter got a 300 that year and qualified for the honors class. I felt the tutors she had were very good at explaining how to improve accuracy and tips for breaking down problems.

The MCVSD test prep class definitely helped my son get a better score on the test and admission into MAST. The practice testing and exposure to the test taking environment was invaluable. My son was able to learn from his mistakes, and the teach and review method was very effective. He also took the FRHSD test prep class which helped by exposing him to various test taking strategies and approaches. Again, reviewing sample tests was very helpful. He wasn't nervous on test day because he knew exactly what to expect. The class was not easy, and had necessary homework, but was definitely worth the time and effort. The price was reasonable and money well spent.
