This Saturday we had a snow storm. I took out my snow thrower and the belt broke. I googled places near me that would have a belt for my snow thrower and came up with Metuchen mower they sell and service Toro snow throwers in fact I have a Toro snow thrower . Thought this would be perfect so I get there and I see a man in the back he comes out I tell him what I need he said he needed a model number .I get it I tell him my model number he said that it wasn't . He really wanted the serial number. I didn't have it . The place sells Toro snow throwers I asked him if he could just go in the back and take a quick peek to see if he could come up with the correct belt and he says no he needs the model number. I said please can you look to see if you have one that matches? He said no I need a model number. I asked him again can you just please go back there to see if you have one similar to this again he says no I need a model number. This guy was one of the laziest people that I've ever met that worked at this store. The fact is he wouldn't even bother looking for me I was the only one in the store there was no one else in the store. That guy just turned away business from a person willing to spend whatever it took for a belt at that store. I will never recommend anybody to this Store .

Came here this morning after the snowstorm, because in the middle of cleaning up, my snowblower belt broke. This seemed to be a close, hopefully, helpful option as far as finding a replacement. Bring the broken belt down with me because I work & sell construction equipment every day for a living & know this would help. Dude in the shop asks me for a model #. I give him the model #, and he repeats like a robot that he needs the model number. I tell him again. And he repeats back to me again that he needs a model number i'm like, I gave that to you, could you possibly mean a "serial number"? Repeats back again, like a robot that he needs a "model#". I beg him to please just take my broken belt,& try to match it up...& refuses. Nope. I just walked out. Absolutely ridiculous.

I was told 1 week for mower repair, and it turned into 3 weeks. Repair for an old beat-up mower was more than if I were to buy a new one of the same quality.

I used Metuchen Mower in the past with a riding lawnmower that I have and they did great services then so now I have a problem with my snow blower so I called after hours on a Saturday to leave a message being that they were closed, Mr Gary called me back within a half hour to take the time to listen and reassured me that they have pick up and delivery so that I can get my snow blower working. This company is A-1 in my book!

Brought my leaf blower in for a tune-up. Was quoted $185. I could buy a new one for $195. Declined their service and took my blower home. I purchased the parts online needed to do the job myself for $30 total. It took me a half hour to do the job. I get that this guy needs to make a living but charging $150 dollars over costs for a simple tune-up is just taking advantage of people. My advice if you are unable to tackle the job yourself, is to find another place for repairs or spring for the few extra bucks and just buy new. That's better than being ripped off! The owner is less than friendly towards his customers anyway. Who needs it?!

The customer facing staff here are very helpful, but I recommend getting the work order in writing because the technicians may not be on the same page. I dropped off my chainsaw because I needed a new chain, and I wanted them to check and see if the guide arm is still good. I expected to receive a call saying either "You need a new guide bar" or "the guide bar is OK." Somehow the message got lost in translation, and the technician did an air filter replace / oil filter replace / cleaning of my carburetor which I didn't ask for. My lesson learned is to put the new chain on myself, and watch a YouTube video on how to check a guide bar for wear.

Had a problem with my lawnmower on Saturday called up Metuchen mower. They help me right away was able to help me get my lawnmower on my trailer and I brought it right down. They had a mechanic come right out and take a look at it. He got it up and running for me right away. Excellent service highly recommend them they’re always there to help you anytime I’ve had a problem. They’ve been there will continue to do business with them.

I had a problem on Saturday with my mower called him up to help me right away to get it back on my trailer. Bought it right to the shop. Mechanic came right out. Help me get it going again. Great customer service highly recommend this place anytime I've ever had a problem there right there and help me out, new owners are very nice and willing to help all his customers will definitely be doing a lot more business with this location
