Joined YMCA for adult swimming. It was a horrible experience. I was assigned to a teenager who had no training in how to train….
Emailed the aquatics director and required multiple in person follow ups to get my money refunded….
One of the friends sent his kid to summer camp. I heard that was a bad experience as well and the kid had to be removed after few days….
They are good for their gym and fitness classes only.
Stay away from this other things as they have no idea in what they are doing…

My daughter is 24 years old now but 20 years ago she went to the preschool at the Metuchen YMCA. It was a horrible experience. The teachers were extremely racist towards my daughter. They would make nasty remarks and tell the other kids to stay away from my daughter. I was approached by one of the teachers who made a comment about how clean and well groomed I bring my daughter to school as if it was an incredible thing.
She is still traumatized by her preschool experience there?

Just joined today and so far the experience has been excellent. The front office staff (Lisha) was very helpful. She addressed all our questions and addressed our doubts. Overall the experience was very good

Nice space. Weird pool hours. 3 guards and the lap pool is closed for 3-4 hour increments. That’s unheard of for most lap pools. I know it’s not the specialty, but out of convenience when I do travel, this is something I look for.
The online website is VERY confusing about pool hours, openings, and more. I hope they can fix these websites as trying to identify a pool schedule is next to impossible.

Eh. This place is not great, because when we and my parents try to get a response to something, it takes at least the last minute. They take good care of the kids, but some camp counselors are... careless, to say the least. They just scroll on their phones and don't pay attention to the rules, nor do they pay attention to the kids, and they just break every rule they possibly can because they can without supervision.
Overall: Bad, to say the least.

If you are going to throw a party your only going to get one helper which is a kid sp be prepared to have family help

Men’s locker room is inexcusably filthy. If there was one word I had to use to describe, it would be MOLD!!!
Absolutely filthy, this place would be shut down were the health department to visit.
