I decided to make a haircut appointment at this salon after reading great reviews. When I met with Jill she asked how I like and want my hair. I had very long hair and showed her where I wanted the length to be on my body and said about 4 inches off with long layers and a face frame. I also explained to her that I love long hair, I’ve always had long hair and I only get it cut twice a year because I LOVE my long hair… Once she was done cutting and blow drying my hair I noticed it was WAY shorter than I wanted… Jill did not do what I asked, she cut a total of 7 - 8 inches off when all I wanted was about 4 inches off… My hair was more than half way down my back and is now basically shoulder length… I am VERY unhappy and upset!!!
In response to your reply below - client shaming just shows how unprofessional this business truly is. If you look at the cameras I pointed and showed Jill mid breast (nipple area) is where I wanted my hair to be and told her that’s about 4 inches off. Also like I said above, I specifically told her I hate getting my haircut and I ONLY get a hair cut maybe twice a year BECAUSE I love my hair long, I’ve always had long hair! Why would someone with such long hair chop it all off? “Shoulder blade” length is no where near my mid breast. I was nice enough to pay you guys even though I was traumatized at my hair being 8 inches shorter when that is NOT what I asked for. At this point, you have my information because I had to fill out the form that has my address so you can refund me by sending me a check in the mail.

I drive home from college to see Emily and let me tell you she is truly the best! She does my cut, color, and blow outs and never fails to amaze me. Great job Em! The salon is beautiful (bouji I would say) and has amazing products. Everyone at the salon is so welcoming and friendly. 10/10 experience.

I drive up from Cape May NJ every 6 weeks for Jill to cut and color my hair. 2.5 hour drive. She is extremely intelligent and knowledgeable and informative about hair and make up. She is patient. Understanding and attentive to a customer's wants and needs. Always eager to assist anyone and answer questions I can't be happier. Hats off to Jill and her staff at Majhi hair design. Definitely worth the time and effort and trip up from the jersey shore.
