IT IS nice to have a place to post one's opinion about a business and share the good as well as the not-so-good. I am NOT a life-long Medfordite. And, I know everyone in Medford knows about Wheelies. I have had occasion to get a tire replaced at Wheelies and make small purchases, but those were in-and-out things. I inherited a bike that I have been riding for over a year with no rear brakes. Finally, I caved and decided to ask Wheelies to bleed the brakes for me. My having missed an appointment that I made, I dropped off the bike the next day. Larry had my bike ready to ride in 24 hours. I picked up my bike today. Larry and his staff got me out the door with a repair bill that was less than I expected. Medford is like no other place that I've experienced. Larry and his bike shop are exactly the kind of old-fashioned, honest business I would hope to find in a place like Medford, NJ. Larry is a gem that I hope everyone appreciates. Thanks for a nice experience, Larry, and thanks for the nice brake job!

I have had my electric bikes in on a few different occasions and had good service. The last time was to change out a tire. When I called up two weeks later I was told it would be ready later that day but the he couldn't find the 3" tire replacement. Larry said the 4" tire tire he put on would work just fine, I said fine and tipped his helper who helped me load the bike back into our SUV. We left on a road trip with with our bikes even though the new tire did not fit well on the rack. We went to Mackinac Island in Michigan I was riding with my wife when she complained that the tire was rubbing. I rode up behind her and I could hear the rubbing as well. When we got home a few weeks later I called the shop and asked if I provided the "proper tire" would he do the change out for nothing, but Larry was busy. I was told Larry would call me back. I called again the next day when I didn't hear from him and was asked to wait which I did. After a prolonged silence I knew the answer was going to be no. I was told it would be half price. I did not respond well and hung up on him. From my point of view as a repeat customer the labor to replace the wrong tire with the right one supplied by me was a reasonable request. It will obviously cost more to have someone else do the work but I'll be damned if I'll ever go back there again. PS I didn't have any trouble locating the "right sized tire."

Exceptionally knowledgeable, helpful, and flat out great. They did a complete overhaul on my bike and returned it better than the day I bought it! And I've taken several bike repair classes with them which have been simply invaluable and worth every penny!

I experienced a problem with my brand-new E-bike and found Wheelies listed in the brand's service network. Larry gave exceptional customer service video calling me at home to help me try the repair at home, then advising he would need to repair it in the shop, no appointment needed. I had a fantastic service visit the following day where Larry greeted me with a huge smile, remembered the problem, and expertly repaired it while I waited. In addition he took the time to fix/adjust a few additional problems he saw and gave me an overview of the e-bike and a lesson on riding it (in the large, convenient, spacious parking lot out front). I did note the store is large and well-stocked with many bikes and ample gear, safety and bicycle tools. This is the best experience I have ever had at a bike shop, and even though this is not close to my house, I will be driving to Wheelies for all my bicycle servicing in the future.

After a fruitless search on LBI, my sister suggested Wheelies. I own a Razor EcoSmart electric scooter which had a rear flat tire. Not only was the scooter repaired THE SAME DAY, but Larry also threw in a bungee cord so I could keep the trunk closed!! If you have problems with any electric scooter, just bring it to Larry at Wheelies and your problems are solved!

Larry and staff are experts in everything bicycles. For some reason our family is always breaking our bikes, so I visit often! Shopping local doesn't cost me more than going to the national chains, so why wouldn't I want to support? Would highly recommend Wheelies!

Love this place! Larry & team are friendly, "can do" and knowledgeable & did a fabulous job on my 33 year old mtn bike (previously happy with another fixed bike too so thought it was time for a review lol!). Good as new and then some for a lot less than a new one! Also added arthritic friendly shifters, raised my stem, new tires & cable and even a phone holder ! I'm loving getting outdoors and taking the trails less traveled again. Thank you Wheelies gang!

They are wonderful. They taught my daughter how to ride without training wheels in a half hour. She is now riding all of the time. We are so happy!!!!

We bought 3 bikes yesterday for Xmas. We also wait for a child bike. Very good customer service and good quality bikes. We cannot wait to have a family bike ride soon!

I'm all for supporting local small business, but these folks have no right running a business. The shop is unbelievably disorganized, no one ever answers the phone and emails never receive a reply. Took my mountain bike in for a new wheel and after a month and a half, 10+ trips to the shop and numerous lies and half-truths from the owner, I ended up just asking for my money and half built bike back. The owner unfortunately seems to know very little about technical bike issues (see other recent reviews) and would rather make up stories about what's wrong or how something can be fixed than admit he doesn't have a solution. Save yourself the headache and go down the road to REI.

I asked about getting some maintenance done and they said "6 weeks." Made sense when you see how many bikes are there and the part shortage due to COVID-19. I asked about getting a flat fixed and was told bring it in. They fixed the flat and replaced both tires while I waited. Everyone was friendly and super busy. Very grateful and appreciative. Will be back in the winter for a complete overhaul.
