I’ve taken my cars to Leo at Matawan Auto for 11 years now and have always been satisfied. I’ve never had a trusted mechanic in my life until finding Leo in 2012 and it makes life easier when you have trust in the person taking care of your car. Thanks to Matawan Auto for the maintenance and fixes over the years-Leo and his team are the best!

Leo and his team are THE BEST. My wife has taken her car to Leo for years and I’m a recent convert (my old mechanic has not been too reliable on car fixes-my recent electrical problem wasn’t diagnosed right by them but Leo pinpointed the problem with ease). ). So nice to have things fixed right the first time!

Decided to save money and diagnose my own car.. spent 2 hours on YouTube watching video after video before I gathered up enough courage to get under my truck and replace my 02 sensor and oil pressure switch. Even spent money on a special socket to remove the 02 sensor… I get under the truck and spend two hours trying to get my oil pressure switch off before I damage a surrounding sensor. I came crawling into Matawan Auto with my tail between my legs…. I should have just called them in the first place! I now spent more money on parts and broke my back, only to cause more damage. Turns out the Pressure switch I got on Amazon was dead on arrival! Leo was super quick and ordering me another one and it was actually cheaper than what I paid on Amazon! Save yourself time and money and just rest easy that they will do it right. I tried to be a hero and I ended up being a zero. Ps. I didn’t tell my wife Leo fixed it..Service: Electrical repair

Everyone be ready to pay the 129.95 diagnostic fee. Non refundable even if they do the work. In the end I regret to say I got ROBBED!!!! payed 457.00 for a window motor repair. Customers BE AWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Took my car for an inspection and physically saw one of the mechanics damage my vehicle. Instead of apologizing, he proceeded to yell at me and blame me for his mistake. The owner fixed the damages on my car after the incident but the mechanic continued to be rude and childish saying they shouldn’t have taken the car and continued to disrespected me. Don’t accept the car is you can’t do the job properly, common sense. Been holding off getting my Porsche Turbo serviced as it’s ceramic coated and I just put a set of HRE wheels on it. I ended up choosing Leo at matawan auto as he had great reviews and the All About Matawan page praised him up and down. I dropped the car off with a Christmas tree display of lights on the dash. You name it, I had it. Boost leak, brake sensor issue, idle issue…. Leo diagnosed and fixed all the issues. However…. What I’m most happy about is I got my car back in the exact same condition as when I dropped it off. No scratches. No chips on the wheels… nothing!!! Needed a radiator and a fuel tank repair. One of the new parts turned out to be defective but Leo went above and beyond to resolve the issue. Great shop skilled crew, Leo is an excellent manager, he explains the situation of vehicle clearly and explains pricing and options. Lauren at the front desk is so friendly. It's a good shop????????
