Been going there for years and the staff has always been courteous with a friendly attitude. Never too busy to provide a professional service

The cashier lady with the curly hair around 40 is extremely rude. she got an attitude with me because I was digging in my wallet for cash and she though I was avoiding eye contact. If she legitimately though it wasn't me on my photo ID call the cops don't give me an attitude. Then she got my change and basically threw it at me. Every time I go in here she's very rude to me because I'm younger but I'm 23 treat your customers with respect. As soon as I walk away from the counter she starts talking to the girl in the back about me. My family has lived in kg since 1988 we get all our liquor from here, we'll never go here again. Id rather drive out of the way to CANALS and avoid this rude lady. There's a lot of other comments on here about the same women as well.

Great place and staff is always friendly. They also take time to review options on different items such as which wines or seltzer drinks are better. They are always able to answer my questions and whoever does the ordering very knowledgeable on what people are drinking.

Very friendly staff, prices aren't the best and the selection could be better, but I always find what I'm looking for. I like the convenience and the rewards program.

The people who work there pay attention. I can not believe it took this virus to learn both Christine and Frans names today. For that I stink. These ladies are always so upbeat, friendly and helpful. Thank you ladies. Sincerely, Jessica Absher.

I will never in my entire life utilize this establishment again. I grew up in Kings Grant and visit the area frequently, as my mom still lives around the corner. I was in town visiting family this week and I stopped in the liquor store before going to a BYO spot for dinner with a college friend. In an attempt to support small, local businesses I went here instead of Canals. HUGE MISTAKE. I picked out my wine and proceeded to head up to the counter. I was conversing with the woman behind the counter, and I asked her if she needed my ID. I produced my out of state Virginia drivers license immediately. She rejected it stating they do not accept out of state drivers licenses. I am a 28 year old married woman. I was buying Black Box Rosè. I'm not some child trying to break the law or I wouldn't have been having a 10 minute casual conversation. I proceeded to plead my case to this person, as I had no time to stop elsewhere. I continued to produce identification with pictures, and then I was questioned about why my last name was different on my license ... maybe because I got married? This was literally the most insulting experience of my life. Then, my mom who is a KG resident called to voice a complaint about the whole experience. She was told off by the ignorant owner or manager, like she wasn't a patron. They clearly do not know that the customer is always right and they really do not care if you present valid ID. The owner/manager literally said, "we will serve whoever we want - we are a private business." Sounds a little discriminatory to me ... DO NOT SUPPORT THEM!
