I literally just picked up my dog today. I know it is a long road to train now that he is at home. Fury is a 4 yo pit mix who has had negative association with other dogs/animals. I never got the chance to train him as a puppy which I do regret but I could not be more happy to have sent him here. They are all so amazing and kind, did not care how many times I called. Fury did do the 4/3 week board and train. They sent me home with everything he will need in order to keep the training going. They do strongly encourage the classes that are available afterward and we will definitely be there. My dog is very selective of certain people and he loved everyone there which meant something to me. And I could not be more happy and grateful for the way they train and love these dogs just as much as the owners do! I cannot wait to see what the future holds for my dog and I! I had the pleasure of being one-on-one with both Mandy and Arnold. While I was not able to meet everyone else in his training journey. I could not be more grateful for them two as well

I paid $3750.00 for my dog to be in a crate more than training. We were told that we could visit when we sat through the evaluation' then they changed it so we could not visit for the three weeks. It was over 4th of July weekend so he sat for a extra day while they were closed. All he elbows and his ass were raw and red when we picked him up from laying on concrete floor for over 14 hours a day. We never meet the owner and from what I could see he has a lot of young people running his business. They all have dogs there and care more about training their own dogs then worried about doing there job. As far as the training goes they asked me what we hoped to get out of this and i told them total recall and loose leash walking. He still does not walk on a leash without pulling. But I do have recall. He does a lot better off leash then he did before we took him but we camp a lot and he has to be on a leash at all times. I gave them one star because of the treatment of my dog. If I could go back I would never have done this and I would never board my dog here.

K9 basics did an amazing job with our Rottweiler Bogie. He has no aggression issues but he was a handful doing puppy type stuff. Just got back from walking Bogie. wow amazing work by Arnold and team

You probably can’t see it in the photo but that speck all the way in the back (across the entire field) is my dog zer0 sitting patiently, untethered on a place board. He sat there for 10 mins while I walked past him & completely away. In just 6 months he could walk off leash. He follows commands, he doesn’t run up to other dogs unless I tell him it’s okay. This place is incredible, and they know dogs. Please keep reading this next part:Not my dog, but another lady’s; at the start this dog was aggressive, would go after other dogs, reacted even just passing another dog unprompted. Had to be in a muzzle the entire time. Frankly I had my doubts with this poor woman.A year later?? Her pup is exactly the same as mine! He walks off leash, he doesn’t even turn or flinch at other dogs, AND he no longer needs to be on a muzzle! I was so impressed. If you have a dog that you’re worried about but you love- don’t return them, don’t put them down. Take them HERE. K9 basics is the solution you need.Additionally: I work 2 jobs, roughly 80-90 hrs/week, and I take my pup in every other week, 1x day a week. I try to do more, but they are so patient with me. They are always supportive, they’re never rude or mean to me about my progress with zer0 even though it may be slower. They’re gentle with their direction and friendly/kind to you. Every single trainer here is absolutely wonderful.Don’t turn away from the price; you pay for the first 2 weeks of boot camp. Other places charge just as much BUT this is the only place that you get training for the life of your dog for free. Other places will only continue to train if you pay. They are worth EVERY single penny I spent. The difference in my dog is incredible. I will continue to support them & I’m bringing my new puppy there. I recommend them to EVERYONE. I have not a SINGLE complaint about this place. If you’re thinking about it- do it. You will never regret it, and your life will be SO much easier for it.

The true measure of a good business is not only the level of service they offer when things go well, but how they handle things in unfortunate situations. And for that reason, K9 Basics, Clif Wyck Farms Kennels and the owners Lisa & Brian, get the lowest possible rating. I signed up my 3 year old Pitbull, Iris, for their Board and Train program. The cost is $3,500. Iris was assessed and a 3 week training was recommended. I dropped her off on 2/14 and was tentatively scheduled to pick her up on 3/7. On the morning of 2/27 after being there for 14 days Iris got violently ill . She had diarrhea and began excessively vomiting. Lisa determined that Iris's condition couldn't wait for my emergency contact to get there and decided to take her to the vet. X-rays were taken and showed a foreign material in her stomach. I was told if this was still in her stomach by the morning that emergency surgery would need to be done. She was admitted overnight and given medication and IV fluid. The next morning the X-rays were taken again and the foreign material had moved from her stomach to her colon. The foreign material was no longer a threat and Iris was able to be released. As soon as I got her home from the vet she had a bowel movement which appeared to consist of either mulch, saw dust or some sort of grains or seeds. This same description was in her vet report as being in her vomit. I sent a picture of this to Lisa who I had been in constant communication with throughout. She called me and told me there was a 100% chance that Iris did not ingest this material while in her care and insisted that it happened prior to coming to training. Keep in mind this is day 14 of her being there. Now I understand this is a possibility but to say 100% is in my opinion ridiculous. My vet bill was $2,400 and I was also charged $350 to transport Iris from the kennel to the vet. Although I consider that transport charge excessive (profit from my misfortune), these charges were all clearly listed in the contract I signed. However I no longer felt comfortable bringing Iris back for the remainder of training. I respectfully asked for a refund for the last week that she would no longer be attending. Lisa responded by explaining they have only issued a refund once in the 14 years they have been in business and that was because a dog had to get their leg amputated due to their negligence. I asked her to please discuss with her partners and reconsider. Later that day I received a call from one of her employees telling me that Lisa and her husband would not be issuing me any refunds and my only option was to complete the remainder of training. I called Lisa immediately but she stopped accepting my phone calls. As for the training itself: I will preface this by saying, Iris only completed 2 of the 3 weeks they recommended, but it did absolutely nothing. She left with all the issues she arrived with except now when I go to put the shock collar/ e-collar (semantics) on her she runs into her cage and trembles. If you are the type of person who can administer pain to your dog while they look to you in fear for not understanding basic commands this training is for you. Even then, proceed with caution and know that if something goes wrong they will take no accountability. I too own a small business and it pains me to leave my first negative review but I am left with no other options besides social forums, credit disputes or legal action.

Our pup Gus spent 3 weeks in board and train. He friended Wallee and trainer Mandy right away. His energy is better since coming home. We took our first walk today and he was great! The staff as well as Clif wick kennel took excellent care of our pup. I highly recommend K9 basics. They gave us the tools and education to keep our well behaved pup on the right track.

I am so happy to be writing this review. Our dog was very dog reactive due to issues he had in his previous home. It was almost impossible to take him for a walk when other dogs were around. We had such a great experience beginning with the evaluation. The trainers were so kind & informative. They never made you feel d*** or inferior. We were able to see first hand the kind of training they do and how it works. While our dog was at K9 Basics, we were able to call and get updates whenever we wanted without feeling like we were bothering anyone. We were able to see pictures and videos of how our dog was doing. Fast forward to now, we just picked him up yesterday from the 3 week board and train program and we are so impressed with how well our dog did with the training. He is now able to go on a walk with other dogs around and not react. He even had a couple friends at training! We never thought this would be possible. While we were picking our dog up we got to see firsthand how much he really loved being there. Everybody was just so kind to him and you could see in his demeanor that he was happy there. My husband & I are so happy with our decision to send our dog to K9 basics & feel this training will have changed our lives for the better & given our dog a better quality of life. I can’t recommend this facility enough!

This review is about 4 years too late but k9 basics is the absolute best! I brought my dog here a few years ago for their board and train program and have been bringing my dog to their weekly training and socialization classes ever since. They have completely transformed my dog and helped me strengthen my bond with her! The trainers make you feel like family when you are there. They truly care about the dogs and they make it an extremely enjoyable experience. I can't say enough good things about the company and more specifically about each individual trainer.

Hands DOWN, my time at K9 Basics is the best investment my family has made in a very long time! It was the staff’s genuine LOVE and KNOWLEDGE of dogs that made my decision to enroll Cooper a no brainer!!! Cooper is my 11-month-old English Cream Retriever who was a rambunctious puppy. He was a puller, jumper, and a chaser. He attended the Day Training, and my family could NOT have been happier with the results. The staff trained us, the owners, as well; a perfect combination!! Their program(s) are well oiled machines, run by extremely experienced trainers and results are clear!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about all my interactions at K9 Basics. All my encounters with staff members have, and continues to be, amazing! They provide clear and concise instructions. Follow them and you will GET / SEE results! We put in time at home training Cooper every day. Cooper is my dog, and I am 100% responsible for his behavior. The incredible training K9 Basics has provided me, Cooper and my family are invaluable! I could not be prouder of my Cooper! THANK YOU, K9 Basics, thank you!!!!!

We brought home our Belgian Malinois Scar when he was 6 months old. He had all of the standard Maligator traits; high drive, reserved with humans, reactive with other dogs. He was the perfect high mileage trail running companion I had been looking for. I looked into K9 Basics on the recommendation of a friend but it wasn’t cheap so I went with some lesser cost alternatives.Roll forward two years and I had a dog I loved but I was worried about him around other dogs and he had started herding and nipping the friends of my 2 high school aged sons. I was afraid if I didn’t get this behavior under control, something bad would happen.I returned to K9 basics with a 2 ½ year old dog that was in need of help. On our first consultation I spoke with Arnold and he knew more about my breed than I did. I enrolled Scar in the Day Training program and hoped for the best.I am writing this review now because K9 Basics has helped me and my family train Scar into the dog we have always wanted. K9 Basics does not train your dog. They train you to train your dog. After Day Training Program I began taking Scar to weekly training sessions. He was consistently improving. Then I began taking Scar to training twice a week. Scar’s confidence was building but more than that, my confidence was building on how to communicate with my dog. Every aspect of K9 Basics training classes, from the parking lot before class to the walk through the parking lot after class, was made to help me and my dog navigate distractions that we encounter every day.We recently visited my youngest son at college in Washington D.C. Scar has been working hard and my son wanted to see his buddy. We took Scar to the national mall on a beautiful sunny day and all of his training combined to make him the perfect companion to tour all of our national monuments. We saw every distraction under the sun; electric scooters, other dogs, screaming kids, ducks, thousands of people, frisbees, footballs and practicing sports teams. His training took over and we navigated it all; on leash and off leash.I want to thank Pam, Arnold, Lisa, Brian and all of the many trainers who have helped Scar and I with our training. K9 Basics is an outstanding option if you want a dog that you can take with you literally everywhere. They are not cheap but they are worth every single penny.A friend recently asked me when Scar would be done his training. I told him never. We are always working to improve and find our next adventure.

My 5 year old husky was in need of some professional training, so we enrolled him in the 3 week board and train program. He was very anxious being alone in a crate at night and when he wasn’t training and we decided to pick him up and drop him off everyday. The trainers went above and beyond to accommodate us and make sure Trio felt comfortable in his environment, and you could tell how much they care for dogs in their facility. While he still has his moments he is a completely different and happier dog now that he’s home. I recommend K9 Basics to everyone wondering about training for their dogs and I’m so happy we made the decision to go forward with it!

My dog Rio was tough to control and easily excitable puppy. He was trained in a very professional manner by Arnold and team. They did an amazing job to help me train him. Today he is four year old and he is a certified therapy dog and extremely well mannered. I never thought I could achieve what I did with him without their help. I'm finally a proud dog parent. Thanks to k-9 basics and their professionalism!! Best dog training place in south Jersey. Highly recommended
