They have a good selection of books and a very nice staff. They have community-oriented events including readings by local authors.

My husband and I went in for the first time with our toddler and left as we felt uncomfortable due to some woman employee following us around the store as if we were stealing, never going back again!

Lovely little bookstore with diverse selection. I'm sure some people would appreciate if they could make the aisles more accessible to people dependent on wheels

Always have been a fan of the bookstore itself but every time I go in, the customer service is terrible. Rude staff, not welcoming. I went to the author signing and they made it apparent they didn’t want certain people to be there. Disappointing, especially in this day and age and this town, where inclusivity is a priority!

The store owner is very pretentious and rude. I’ve been here a few times and I got a bad impression from him. The biggest thing was when I heard him talk smack about how he would never accept local authors/artists books because they don’t have high quality work and they aren’t “opportunists, they’re just local.” and talked about how it’s a burden when they pitch to his bookstore. For a store that’s “LOCAL, INDEPENDENT , AND INCLUSIVE” this mindset is toxic and hypocritical. When speaking to one of the authors after the book signing died down, he proceeded to look at me and whisper to his wife and keep staring and repeat. Unless you’re a white woman or a famous person of color, they don’t care about you.

Words is an example of what I want in a small indie bookstore. They have a great selection and wide range of books for the size of their location, and a very well curated collection. They don't try to have every book available, and as a result you can actually discover interesting titles that you didn't know about before.

Good local independent bookstore. A nice variety of titles and some gifts as well. They tend to focus on more recent titles. Good young readers/ teen section. Helpful staff.

surreal old timey bookshop in a good way. I walked in and bought a book about BTS, also, Samantha Irby's latest. Check out staff picks. Very special and rare these days.

Such a beautiful store with wonderful service. Has a nice mix of goods and stationary as well for fun little gifts and etc. It's a bit small of a store so there's not a ton of selection but a good enough amount that you're sure to find your next good read!

I’m a return customer from South Carolina and am routinely thrilled with this bookstore. The associates are pleasant and knowledgeable, courteous and eager to help. Even from a “remote” perspective, this place is just downright wonderful. I hope to stop by in person someday to experience the hospitality and service firsthand! Thanks, Words, and don’t stop doing what you’re doing!

I really want to support local businesses and bookstores but their customer service has been very disappointing. Apparently it’s too much trouble to get a call about a book you ordered or get a receipt or for the salespeople to put your books in a bag (don’t mind paying for the bag). Honestly with online being cheaper, it’s pretty tough to want to go here anymore.

I was waiting outside with my dog while my mom was shopping inside, and she left me with a bottle of cava she just bought. I left it standing by my feet because I'm under 21, and after a few minutes my dog knocks it right over. It didn't break, but I saw it fizzle. Employees from Words walk outside to talk about the window display, and a few minutes later one of them walks back outside with a Words paper bag and packaging air pillows. He took the fallen bottle of cava and tucked it safely in a paper bag with the air pillows for me. I didn't ask him to or anything. Wonderful worker.
