“My daughter and my now son-in-law were married at the Pleasantdale Chateau on 1/19/2024. To sum up our experience in one word-Perfection! From the moment we arrived until our departure 24 hours later every detail was handled with precision and courtesy by the fabulous Pleasantdale Chateau staff. There was not one thing that was overlooked. From the bridal and groom attendants, Michelle and Jen; to the banquet manager, Bryan; to the captains, Iker, Jonathan, Luis and Tori, and to all the staff who greeted our guests and looked after them during the reception, your service was exceptional. We were so very impressed by your professional and friendly manner. As one guest told me this event was “Perfect white glove service. When I got up to dance I returned to my seat to a refolded napkin and a reorganized place setting. When they delivered dinner they knew exactly what meal went where. That staff was the best trained and most professional catering staff I have ever seen. Captains constantly on the floor overseeing and communicating. Really flawless service in my opinion. A truly well oiled machine. “ So many of our guests sang the praises of the food, staff, the setting and the overall atmosphere. Many claimed it was the best wedding they ever attended. We cannot thank Fred, Santiago, Dawn, and the entire staff enough for making our daughter’s wedding a top notch experience. Sincerely, Linda Gilman”

“SOMA backStage Reading Series - New Musical: She Reached For Heaven the actors were great. The play was very good, albeit I would recommend that the beginning be tighten as it was a little slow. The ending also needs a little work.
It was great to be able to attend a work in progress.”
“My husband and I were hosting a unique event - an afterparty for a movie premiere. We weren’t sure where to get started, and we were so grateful that John and Trish were there to handle everything. They knew just how arrange a perfect mix of dinner/cocktail party to accommodate our large crowd. The food and drinks were phenomenal, and the setting was absolutely perfect. “This was our second year having our daughter's birthday at Parteaz. She loved the first party so much that she talked all year about her next party at Parteaz! Our experience was just as fantastic the second time around. Everything was polished, professional, and organized. Although we only sampled two drinks, we can safely recommend Heathermeade (Tree City vodka) based on the high caliber drinks we ordered. We were delighted by the traditional Old Fashioned and by the Cucumber Cranberry vodka.”

“Our first time at UCPAC's Hamilton Stage was very positive: We saw high-level acting, singing, musicianship and stagecraft (via, Sondheim's "A Little Night Music") that was closer to Broadway than to community theater, at a reasonable price. We sat close up, in an easy, intimate venue, with free parking nearby. We'll be checking out other productions there, for sure.”

The has a hip and modern cocktail bar atmosphere perfect for our group of about 25 people but I think the space can easily be comfortable for 50+. The bartender they provided was a great mixologist and super friendly. I would use this spot again!”

“In just a few days, the upcoming Lunar New Year brings the Year of the Dragon on February 10th among East and Southeast Asian cultures. It’s fifth in the 12-animal Chinese zodiac cycle and the only animal that’s a mythical creature. This afternoon, my partner and I arrived at the Woodland, located off of Woodland Road in Maplewood, to celebrate Lunar Fest NJ 2024—Maplewood Arts & Culture. Completed in 1930, the Georgian Revival-style mansion and adjoining auditorium have been a hub for Maplewood’s vibrant cultural and civic life for over eight decades. The unique event features lion dance, performances representing Chinese, Mongolian, Thali, and Korean cultures, children's activities, and delicious food trucks, which brought out the crowd.”
