Cheese moldy there delivery service is unorganized and goes off if you speak Spanish or not for service basically. Been coming for years I’ll travel farther for better services plus pricing is way over average.

Everything is fine until you have to go to the check out... you feel that you really have to bribe someone to do check you out! Once I had this lady insisting that I should leave her a tip early in the morning. Another time I had to wait on the line just to hear the cashier said she is going on her break. ?Update!!! There's a new management in place. Check out is becoming easier. There's no more cup for tips. Please keep it up.

I hadn't visited this store in months but ran in to grab a few items. I mentioned to the cashier at checkout that the key pad to pay was sticky, she just waved me off. So I approached a lady that I saw assisting my cashier earlier whom I assumed was a supervisor to let her know the keypad was sticky and needed to be cleaned, she told me they don't have time to clean. Now I don't expect you to clean after each customer, but if I'm telling you the thing has stuff on it you should have no problem cleaning it. We just went through a major pandemic, now it was the EOD, but, thats no excuse.I will not be returning to this store.

Nice place , a lot of parking. They have a nice selection of items to choose from even items from other countries. The security is great ? , I needed a jump for my car and even though they aren't supposed to help in that way the security officer did . Even used his personal device to help me . Would recommend to anyone in the area???

Shopped here at the recommendation of a friend as it has Hispanic products. I was looking for green bananas and plantains as well as other items normally found in Hispanic neighborhoods. Extra seems to have a big selection of African, Haitian and Hispanic products. They have a great selection of root vegetables. Prices were low, store neat and stocked, but this is where the good ends. The neighborhood is very questionable. I kept seeing police activity everywhere while trying to find this supermarket. The meat was also questionable. I made the mistake of picking up a pork shoulder that looked better than the rest. Smelled it and it seemed fine. Once I got home and removed the packaging, it smelled funky, as if it was going bad and someone tried cleaning it with a chemical. I threw it out. I never shopped in this type of neighborhood before nor in an Extra supermarket. Next time I'll just travel to ShopRite a half mile away for what I need. I'm new to a neighborhood that borders Orange, East Orange and Irvington. I'm finding that the supermarkets are subpar. I need to travel outside of my area for quality meat. For root vegetables and non perishables, I may make the once a year trip here. Maybe.

Open 7 days a week. Lots of parking spaces. Very reasonable products at decent prices. Has Amazon locker as well where you can pickup items you purchased from Amazon.

Deceptively priced items. You'll see a price on the shelf or on the item, but it'll scan at something higher. They always mismark their items.
