I've been going to south street salon since I was younger used to go with my mom, I even have the same hairdresser she used to , friendly staff , good prices , nice line of products and whenever I've had a bad day I always someone to talk to about it

If I could give South Street Salon a gazillion more stars, I would. I first got my hair cut by Jaycee's Dad, JC, when I was 7. That was 48 years ago when he was just starting out in the business in the early 70s. My Aunt had discovered him, took my Mom to him- and the rest is history. Typical of growing up on the Shore, I wore my hair long. I would only go in for a trim here and there. Through the years, he corrected my mis-adventure with "Sun-In", did my hair for my Junior and Senior Prom, as well as my Wedding. It didn't matter where I lived, I always went to JC. No one else touched my hair until JC (the father) passed away. He is greatly missed. :-( Thank God his son, Jaycee, and Estelle are cut from the same cloth. Precision hair stylists, hair color genius' and just phenomenal people. In fact everyone who works there does amazing work! As someone mentioned in another review, watching how women (and men) are transformed at the salon....that is just way cool. I started wearing my hair long again. It was too easy. (Ponytail/bun and out the door...anyone? lol) And boring. Should I repeat that or just call it drab? Ug. Jaycee talked me into letting him cut and style it and change it up just a bit. I absolutely love it. I have received many, many complements! I cannot recommend South Street Salon enough. Amazing professionals doing beautiful, outstanding work.
