Posting this review so your elderly parents do not get scammed by Steve either.
My mom’s phone stopped working last week. I checked the account and it said she was eligible for an upgrade to an iPhone 15 for free so I sent my parents in to do so. I didn’t ask much about the interaction. At this point all I knew is my mom had a working phone.
I went to check my bill last night and to my surprise there was an additional line added to my account and saw that both the new line and my mothers line had an iPhone 14 associated with it. Thinking it was fraud I inquired about it through customer service. Turns out Steve never used the upgrade on my mothers phone line - instead he added a new phone line to my account (it was explained to me that my bill only changed by $2 because the price of the other lines drop). So if the account holder wasn’t to look on the bill there would not be a difference in price. When I asked my parents about it after the inquiry I was told they weren’t told that another line was being added, they were told there was no upgrade either when there was. Turns out employees get commission when new lines are added. So not only did they not upgrade my moms phone to the 15, she got an older model. Needless to say I was beyond livid that Steve took advantage of my parents age and lack of knowledge being that the account is under my name. My dad even gave him a $20 cash tip because he was so helpful at resolving the issue with my mom’s working phone!
Today I went in asking for Steve and the manager. When I explained what had happened and mentioned it was done for a commission Steve had the nerve to say “don’t worry about my paycheck I did the best deal possible”. An additional line not being utilized with a $2 increase to my bill and an older model phone than what we were eligible for? Thankfully, the manager Irvin and associate Isabella helped rectify everything.
I will not be returning to this location ever again.

This review is strictly for Zachary who went out of his way to help my daughter and I with 2 new phones. Despite the stressful, unfortunate situation that we experienced during the first 30 minutes in the store, once Zachary took it over he was able to make a bad situation excellent. He provided stellar, compassionate stress-free service and should be commended for his knowledge and kindness. He definitely has management skills with an understanding of how important a 20+ year relationship with Verizon is. I wish I could give him more than 5 stars. Thank you Zachary!

Zach was absolutely terrific! This review does not concern him. I hate to write this review, because there are definitely one or two employees that are professional. 0 stars if it were possible. DO NOT GIVE THIS STORE YOUR BUSINESS! This has got to be the worst Verizon in the tri state area. Seems everyone hates their job and just wants to be left alone. People walk away from you as you try to get help. Employees are rude and the manager(I’m assuming) is extremely unpleasant. You walk up with kindness and you get attitude in return. They pick and choose who they’re nice to. Maybe it’s profiling? Regardless, nobody told you to choose this career, find a new job if customer service isn’t your thing! We also work and have bad days but your profession focuses on customer service! We are here to solve a problem which is also the SOLE reason you are there. Absolute distasteful experience with this store yet again.

I have been a verizon customer since it started and I have never had anything but a terrible experience at this store.Every question asked is responded to by an upsell to increase the commission of the sales person never get a straight answer only ham handed sleazy sales tactics .the worst customer service possible

One star would be too good for this location. Walked in the store looking for a wireless charger for my samsung device. 5 employees were sitting up against the window and on the floor like a HS gymnasium. I walked the entire store and even used my mobile device to look up product info until the store manager, who was with a customer, asked me if I needed help. I informed him that help is no longer ger needed as he had an entire staff, whose sole job mission is customer care, not care about a customer. I believe they work on commission as well. Tbis is yet another reason why I stay away from Verizon store locations. I'm sure Best Buy appreciated the $200 I spent.

I observed the operations of the Verizon corporate store located at 55 Highway 9 in Manalapan this week. The staff members worked well as a team. Several members were bilingual in English and Spanish. They all seemed to be friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and resourceful in assisting new and existing customers with their requests. Some things could not be performed at this store. In that case the team members referred the customers to Verizon Customer Service or the Apple store, depending on their situation. Johnny, Doug, Isabella, Karen, Skylar, Tyler, Julius, Steve, Don, Jeff, and Zach were all awesome in resolving customer satisfaction. They were not pushing unnecessary accessories. They were there to answer questions about products that may enhance the customer's experience. They offered transfer from one device to another for a nominal fee. They offered to provide services such as replacing a battery if the customer bought it online, etc.

Isabella (or Isabelle) was immensely helpful when I came by a few weeks ago. My phone had been stuck in SOS mode for several days and I had put aside 3 hours just in case. She had me in and out in less than 10 minutes, phone totally fixed. She was also very nice and helpful. Thank you so much!

These people don't even deserve a single star to be honest. I was there to pickup the phones I ordered, the guy who was sitting behind the desk didn't even bothered to say or ask us anything. I was standing there to get some help, I greeted him with no response and again told him the reason for the visit, after some time he called someone to help us.
Later I found that he was the Manager of the store, when we tried to ask him few questions he just said we have to wait for which I said ok then he said they are going to close soon (we were at the store around 6 PM, they close at 8 PM) and he was not in a mood to answer any of our questions. he was kind of rude and acting as if was doing us a favor handing the phones over and leave the store.

My old (2018/S8) cell stopped displayg. Couldn't text, answer phone, etc. DREADED this visit. DRAGGED my husband w/me for support.We were greetd by Johnny, who was personable, skilled, knowledgeable and the best person I could have wished for. Johnny sold me the Samsung S23, showed me how to use it, answered all my questions, demonstrated features & put me at ease. (I was sooo stressed).He did not pressure me to purchase accessories. He actually saved me money! He brought up things that I never would have thought about.I traded in my broken, cracked, separated phone for a new model at no extra cost (I thought the new phone was going to cost me over $1,100)! I got my teacher's discount AND my monthly bill will actually be less than I had been payg previously.Johnny was amiable & we felt very comfortable with him. When I return (for anything), I pray that I get him again. He mentioned his main Verizon traing was 20 yrs ago.GOD BLESS! I am thrilled with everything & couldn't thank him enough.I hope that he, his manager and even the CEO will eventually read this review.

I was in the store today to purchase a case for my new iPhone. The individual who was assigned to assist me could not be bothered in helping me find a case for my phone. He opened the draw and told me to look inside. I advised him I wanted a black case and all he said is black is mixed in the draw instead of spending the time to go through it with me. Needless to say I left and ordered it online from Amazon
