“This rating would have been 5 stars except for two things... the sales rep and the fact that nobody responded to my complaint about him. This is a broker that uses several big name moving companies. They (Bekins) were on time and packed everything very well and put everything in place as asked on delivery. Jose Hernandez was the driver and crew leader. There were two different crews, one in New Jersey, one in Palmetto FL. A few things were broken and they used tags on everything. Removal of the tags did cause further damage to soft surfaces. But the core complaint comes from the sales reps inability to properly estimate the load. IT resulted in a $3,000 up charge. I complained to the company before they charged me and complained to the company after they charged me and NOBODY, thought it important enough to reach out and see if they could address my complaint. I even told them I would be putting a negative review on Yelp, and now 8 days later there is still no response. His estimate was off by double... 177 pieces ended up being 422 pieces. I held nothing back during his visit for the estimate and even emailed him when I added a few pieces of furniture. $9K became $12K after weighing the load. I can see why people have been blind sided by movers when the estimator does such a poor job. I was in commission sales most of my career and every time I was wrong on my estimates for a job, I got hit with the charges not my customer. I am perfectly willing to pay for what something costs, but I want to know the accurate costs, not what the company needs to cover Toms' mistakes. So if you get Tom at Sea Cure make sure you get a comparison estimate from somewhere else to at least check his work.”
