I've been a repeat customer at this store during the Halloween season, purchasing contacts without issue. However, my recent visit was a different story. I was seeking a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner, having invested significantly in my hair treatment ($500) and keratin treatment ($300). I was looking for guidance from the owner, who was standing behind the counter.Unfortunately, when I asked about a return policy in case the product didn't suit me, the owner laughed and told me to go home and do more research. I was already researching on my phone and consulting my hairstylist via text. As a business owner, I expect some level of expertise and helpfulness, especially when customers are willing to spend top dollar on products.Instead, I felt dismissed and unwelcome. It's clear that beauty supplies are a significant investment for many customers, and it's disappointing to encounter a business that prioritizes profits over people. I dislike supporting businesses with a "money-grabbing" and "gimmicky" approach. Unless they improve their customer service, I would not recommend this store to others.

If you value employees treating you with respect, if you value you a business opening on time and not when they see fit making you late for your child’s hair appointment & when you mention it TO THE OWNER he locks the door in your face and asks you “what do you want me to do about it” PLEASE take your business else where. I have been a long time resident of long branch for 20+ years NEVER have I dealt with such unprofessional disrespectful classless people. The owner does not care about the customers they just want your money

If i could put any stars i would the guy is so rude & always have a attitude went in today to get a few things asked him a question and he got smart i left everything there and walked out this is your business why are you showing people a attitude when we are the ones keeping you open , the hair is bad he dnt have anything just rude last time I’ll spend a dime in there

I’ve lived in long branch all my life and I never been treated or had an experience as bad as I had at this beauty supply store. Very racist. Very disappointed.

This place is ok sometimes. My mother had been giving them business since they were on Broadway when I was little, but when they moved to Joline Ave, I started going there. I love the packs and have gotten the packs since I was in high school since all the varieties help when I am on the go whether traveling or at the gym. As I've gotten older, I notice that Jamaican oil and Coconut Oil hydrate and help my curls the most.I've been giving this business well over $100 because I enjoy the products and service I was receiving.Not only have I been buying the conditioning packs, but I was also purchasing the Auntie Jackie line for a while (I haven't seen those bottles stocked and on the shelf in a while). If I missed it, I apologize and will update my review. I try to be mindful not to take all the packs, but I have transitioned from brittle relaxed hair to all natural curls so my product needs have changed.I have also bought their Softee hair grease and other regular conditioning bottles but there haven't been big bottles of Olive Oil Conditioner or Motions Conditioner in the tall bottle size in a long time. Hence, why I buy the packs and they keep me for weeks.I don't understand what other people are mentioning about others "following them in the store." That hasn't been my experience since I have only seen the two owners there. But, if anyone is able to offer me other product selections as an alternative, I'd be open to something else.Yesterday I came in and did my usual. I dropped $156 to be asked why I couldn't have bought conditioner bottles instead they are much cheaper? I was a little confused to hear that question being asked from an owner. When I come here, I spend a good amount based on what I need that will last me and have also moved for school. Does it matter how much I am spending as I am giving you guys good business?With the dwindling choices I am seeing lately, when I am back in NJ, I won't be rushing back here. I also noticed that the friendly customer service has changed. It's not the same and I don't feel acknowledged when I come through the door. I wish you guys the best. Thanks.

The horrible owners blamed my 9 year old daughter of stealing a 2dollar lipgloss. Which completely was incorrect my daughter ran out of the store twice to get change from her dad whom was sitting in the car by the front door. The first time she gave her dad her ring so she wouldn’t loose it. The second time I asked her to get change to purchase the lipgloss. I have been going here for a few months however, I will NEVER GO BACK. Do yourself a favor invest in a better camera system. Future buyers beware they horrible people especially Jessica the lady owner!!!! How dare she accuse my daughter with no clear video of the situation. I left them 2$ apparently they needed.Put it toward the camera system.?The camera shows by daughter putting her hand up at the product and thinking maybe she could buy one. She left the store to get quarters from my husband bc she already had a dollar in her hand when we walked in the store. The camera is not clear or shows evidence of anything was in her hand when she left the store. Will be there with the police tomorrow then show the evidence to the police.Not for a second did it cross my mind that my daughter would have taken anything. I have taught my children to have respect and honor of themselves. You are completely wrong even after my daughter and I told you she didn’t take anything. You people are blind to the fact their is honest people in the world. Shame on you!!!! She is a beautiful little girl who is taking this as a learning experience to stand tall on her honor. I have read some of your negative comments it seems we aren’t the only ones where you have attack innocent families.

This beauty supply store is RACIST BLACK PEOPLE pleas stay away these people don't deserve a penny from us when black people walk in here they automatically think your trying to steal they will walk around stalking you and keep asking if you need help after you telling them no. I heard many complaints now I'm seeing it for myself

I just moved to this area in long branch Nj, and I have been looking for a beauty supply store finally my son tells me where one is so I decide to go I walk in with my young daughter and start looking for hair dye and this specific jam that I use, as I start looking a women comes to me and asked can I help you because I was in front of the hair dyes I didn't need her help, so my son walks in and I asked him and my daughter to help me find the jam so the lady then comes to me again and asked can I help you with something so I said yes I was looking for hair dyes that aren't permanent so she tells me she has some in the next section so I go with her and start looking at the dyes my son and daughter comes to me with a jam that I wanted so I'm like let me look for this oil I seen on Instagram the guy behind the counter goes and approach my son and asked him what does he have in his pocket so my daughter comes and tell me mom why are they asking what does he have in his pocket which was his phone I go off don't question my son I came in here to buy supplies that I needed and you question my son about what's in his pocket my son doesn't steal never not even a piece of candy my son felt son uncomfortable I took the supplies places it on the shelf and told them I will never step a foot in their store rude and Racists and this happened on 12/19/2022. This was not a good experience for my 11 year old son or 12 year old daughter. Will never go back in that store.
