I wouldn't give this place a half star. I went in on Memorial Day before going to a friends house. I bought a Malibu Rum bottle, the 1.75 ml, and was shocked when the cashier told me it was $38.52. This bottle goes for 25.99 elsewhere. Please stay away from this crook running this terrible business. Down the road on Ocean Blvd. in Ursula Plaza you will find Vingo Liquor where the prices are very reasonable and not what you will pay at Britton's. The staff is a ton friendlier and the selection of liquor is ten fold what you will find at this god awful place.

Stopped in here after I went to a liquor store in OceanPort because they didn't have bitters or cherrys. I must say that the young man was very helpful. He pointed me in the write direction and was very personable. Not like the liquor store I was previously at. They have a large selection and they get pretty busy in such a small store.

I honestly wouldn't shop here if you can avoid it. It is kind of the last liquor store before the beach.. actually there is one more, but that is really the only reason to go here. So what makes it bad? Tempature. My guess is that the owner is very cheap and doesn't waste money on providing a good experience or cold beverages. It can be 90° outside and the door is open with no air conditioning so any liquor you buy will be hot. If you plan on drinking immediately without ice.. good luck. This also carries over to the "cold" beer and other beverages. It seems he runs his refrigeration at barely cold enough to be considered cold. I'd compare it to cold tap water which isn't really cold, but just cool enough to be drinkable, but not enjoyable. That said my recommendation is to avoid it if you plan on drinking right away and not storing drinks for some time on ice or in a fridge. Hopefully they fix it because its convenient if you're heading to the beach early as they do open at 9AM and most other places open at 10 or 11. Huge

If you are interested in what the prices are of the items sold in this fine establishment, they are NOT posted and DO NOT Ask, for you will have your head riped off, of course if you are a man maybe not....As a local who doesn't go to the liquor store often, I was treated so rudely and told not to come back because I had the audacity to ask what the prices for my items were before checking out, which totaled about $50, I guess the beach crowd is enough to support that establishment, I'll just go to Shoprite from now on.

This is my go to store. Whenever I am entertaining, Bruce is always very helpful and has helped me select great wines. I just bought a bunch of alcohol for a party and Wes helped me. He was also great. They are friendly and knowledgeable and locals. I highly recommend them!
