“Great museum to learn more about the history (and present!) of New York City. Some displays feel a little outdated, that’s why I give four stars. But the compilation of movie fragments depicting various aspects of life in NYC (moving, making money, relationships, work, entertainment) is a must-see and makes the museum definately worth a visit!”

“I have passed by many times but never had an occasion where u til last night. I was pleasantly surprised once I stepped inside because the outside is rather plain and doesn't hint of the tasteful and elegant inside. The front door opens to a lovely atrium area adorned with a huge flower arrangement in an urn with a bar and seating area. It is lovely tan and brown marble with bronze lighting fixtures and comfortable and booth seating. The food was done very very well. In stark contrast to a wedding I went to at a different well known catering hall a few weekends ago, the buffet was on point. The fried calamari was brought out small trays at a time often so that it remained crispy on the buffet. The cheese was delicious and actually tasted like cheese. The chicken franchise was tasty of lemons and butter and not overdone or mushy. The coating wasn't falling off in a wet heap like we sometimes see. The salads were fresh and delicious. The roasted peppers were certainly made in house because they had roasted flavor with brown grill marks and the garlic slices tasted like freshly sauced garlic. The drinks were on point. The bartender assured me she could make a good old fashioned, and indeed she did! I highly recommend this place”

“Good place for catchups decent drinks and the best they offer potato chips with your drinks to munch on!! It’s located on the 2nd ave and 57th street a little off of every popular bars but can definitely chill around in this place …mostly it’s a cocktail bar ..”

“Excellent customer service and overall experience from the second our cab pulled up! The room was perfectly clean, including the bathroom and kitchen. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast room service is exceptional, dinner, not so much. At least what we ordered for dinner wasn't good. It was the fettuccine and suppose to be a white wine sauce if I remember correctly. The pasta tasted microwaved, and there was hardly any sauce. A better bet would be to go to the Italian restaurant downstairs for dinner, and the restaurant upstairs (where room service is from) for breakfast. We LOVED our French toast, potatoes and peppers, sausage, and berries. So so good. We ordered pastries the next morning and those were really good too. Housekeeping did a phenomenal job as well! We will be back :-)”

“The food was the best. I have never had anything like this in my life and it's truly amazing. The steak melts in your mouth and it filled my stomach with joy. And the desserts where do I even start everything was masterfully crafted and made with love. You can tell that the chefs really care about every dish that they make and take pride in it too. Also the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. Also the vibe was really cool we are in these barrels which had a nice atmosphere and further played into the overall experience of this steakhouse.”

Lily was extremely knowledgeable, clear in her instructions and, most importantly, very patient. My shot consistency has already improved dramatically thanks to this initial session with Lily and that was all the convincing it took to continue working with her. Thanks Lily!”

“Overall a good spot for a brunch. The ambiance is lovely as there was a piano player and the shades were up. We requested a seat by the window but they weren't able to accommodate which is no big deal, they were able to seat us one row away from the window and that was even better for me. I ordered the burrata and the cheeseburger. The yucca fries are unique in texture and satisfyingly crunchy. The bun on the cheeseburger was a lot so I opted to only eat half of it. The burrata was creamy and went well with the balsamic caviar. We ordered the mango coconut panna cotta as well which was divine, would go back there just for that. It was also beautiful to look at! One star off because the service was not great -- it took a very long time to place our order for our entrees and our dessert, which kept us there for 2 hours. Servers themselves were great.”

“My experience at the restaurant was a bit overwhelming due to the noise and crowded atmosphere, especially on a Friday night with live music. Despite the tight arrangement of tables making it difficult to move around, the food and service were excellent. I particularly enjoyed the vegetarian dish with pasta and plan on returning for it. My friends also loved their salmon dishes and couldn't stop raving about how delicious it was. Overall, while the ambiance was not to my liking, the quality of the food and service made up for it.”

“I recently hosted a baby shower/gender reveal at The Women’s Club of Glen Ridge and I’m so happy with our choice of venue. Elizabeth was so accommodating and open to all of my ideas for the event. She was always available and helpful from the day we toured until the day of the event. We were able to set up the day before because the venue was not hosting anything the day before my event. It doesn’t get better than that. When we went to set up is when I met Luis. He is marvelous. He was like 10 people in 1. Whatever we needed he made it happen. And what he didn’t have he found a way to get it. I can’t wait to book here again and work with these wonderful people and their beautiful venue. Luis is truly an angel and made our day perfect.”

“Macaluso's is such an amazing venue! Before I even talk about the amazing staff let me tell you about their INCREDIBLE food. Whenever I see that I am photographing a wedding at Macaluso's I make sure to not eat any breakfast or snacks so I can fully enjoy their food!As a wedding photographer it is super important for me to work at a venue that has scenic areas for great photos of my couples and Macaluso's does not disappoint in that category at all (see attached photos). In addition, their staff is super friendly and willing to help with anything!I can't recommend this venue enough if you are looking for a great place to host your wedding or event!”

“Had a perfect experience at Bstro 38. Food was tasty, full of flavor, well cooked, and great quality. The drinks were flawless, well balanced and strong without the alcohol being overpowering. The service was impeccable-- excellent restaurant service standards. Our server (Starling) was friendly, attentive, and checked with us in a good cadence. The staff worked really well together and created a great experience. The space was dimly lit. It was inviting, warm, and casual.”

“I have had the most incredible experiences at OFFSITE through the years! Talk about high class! Not only is the venue comforting and warm, but it is also extremely functional and versatile for so many different types of events. The staff is always stellar and always go above and beyond to accommodate! Not to mention how accessible the location is. I wish they had more locations, but Im sure they will blow up and expand soon! I would never use another venue for any of my events. “My spouse and I looked at around 11 other venues, and none come close to what you get at The Estate at Florentine Gardens. First off, the whole venue is GORGEOUS, with a beautiful, freshly made ceremony room, cozy but classy cocktail room, and a spectacular elegant ballroom for your reception. Even the hallways, groomsmen suite, and the bridal suites are amazing - they're big, stunning and are perfect for getting ready. If you're considering a winter or summer wedding, this venue is perfect. Even you're in the summer and it gets rained out, you'll still have a picture-perfect ceremony room, so really there is no need to worry. We did our wedding just a week ago and it was amazing!Not only does this venue wow your guests in terms of how it looks, but the staff are INCREDIBLE. We worked with Samantha (our event consultant), Jeffery (our maître d'), Monica (our bridal attendant), Max (helped with the groomsmen) Sal (entertainment services), DJ Tony Gia, and Shar (videographer). From day 1, Samantha was always enthusiastic and patient about our many many many questions that we asked throughout the whole entire year before our wedding. She was a joy to work with! Everything was done professionally and the answers provided truly reflects how much this venue knows and understands how to run a good wedding. Monica, Jeffery, and Max were with us the day of the wedding and they truly ran the show behind the scenes. They were there to answer any questions, take all the stress off of us and our families, and made sure everything was on time and done well. There was really nothing we needed to worry about because Jeffery, Monica, and Max were well coordinated and knew exactly what to do, even with our outside vendors (photographer and florist).One of the best things about The Estate at Florentine Gardens is that they also have amazing entertainment services. If you end up booking this venue, we highly recommend using Sal Travis and his team. Sal was always ready to provide us good song selections and help us craft our package for what we would like to have (lighting, videography, DJ, sparkler towers photo booth, ceremony music, and so much more). DJ Tony Gia was the best - he kept our dance floor up and dancing the whole night and was an amazing MC. Sal's team of videographers were also outstanding and blew our guests away. They were able to catch everything live and even produce an amazing wrap-up video to display at the end of the night.Our friends and families members who have been to so many weddings before said that our wedding was the best wedding that they have ever been to, and we know that it's because The Estate at Florentine Gardens is 1. beautiful, 2. provides the highest quality of service, and 3. is truly working to ensure your day goes smoothly, and 4. the food is so DELICIOUS!! “I went to the grill with my fiancé and friends after he proposed to celebrate. It's truly an elevated dining experience that makes the night special. The women's restroom has a lounge with beautiful vanity mirrors. The pasta a la presse was a highlight of the night because it was delicious but also because it was prepared table side with an explanation of its origin. The bread for the table had a lot of variety and was delicious. For my entree I had the lobster which was beautiful and tasted divine. The baked Alaska is a must for dessert since it's set ablaze at the table! If you're having trouble making a reservation we were able to secure ours with the Dorsa app.”
