Had the corned beef sandwich and partner had pastrami. Both were no good. We were both disappointed and won't go back. Try Goodman's in Berkeley Heights.

Before stopping in to pick up lunch today, it was literally over 30 years ago since I'd been here at Nana's. Not much has changed here, the tuna was fantastic then and it still is today! Tuna is what Nana's always been known for. Just like the last time, I ordered a tuna on rye. The menu says the tuna is a "secret recipe". I can't argue, it's different than any other I've tasted. The sandwich, along with the coleslaw and pickle, that comes with it, was delicious! If you're looking for something else, they do have a large menu and they even make blintzes! There's also a section for the sweet tooth. Service was friendly and they have private parking. Was a great lunch, I can't wait as long to get back there next time!

I grew up in a family deli and then worked at multiple delis over the years. I had a craving for a great sloppy joe. I had gone to Nanas in like 2016 and it was OK. But I thought maybe it was better. I ordered Matzahs and a Sloppy Joe. Both were fair tasting. But when one factors cost (each matzah was $3.50 and the sloppy joe was $28.00), the food was horrendous. Heck, the sandwich, for 28, should have had enough on it for a couple days of eating - but it was like a regular sandwich. Nanas should be ashamed of charging that much money for that food. Never again. Horrible.

I’m sorry, but they’re charging the same prices as Katz’s delicatessen in NYC, for a significantly smaller sandwich, AND you’ve gotta wait about an hour to get it for some reason. There’s a lot more about the sandwich that I could get into, but I won’t simply because the price, the wait time, and the size of the sandwich is MORE than enough of a reason to AVOID this place. Sorry.

Honestly the worst sandwich I ever ate as well as the most expensive sandwich. When the total for two sandwiches came up I honestly thought it was a mistake. How on earth could you charge $16 for a Turkey and cheese sandwich???? The bread was so tough I could barely eat it. So gross and such a waste of money.

This deli has been here for decades, and hasn't changed since at least the 90s. It has always and continues to be known for its phenomenal tuna. The person I was with said that the tuna is as good as it was decades ago. I loved the sloppy joe that I got from them. It was a very pleasant atmosphere with very nice workers.

I’ve lived in Livingston for 27 years and never have I ever tried Nana’s Deli. I had best, most tasteful chicken salad sandwich on thin rye and my wife had an excellent tuna sandwich. In my opinion, the chicken salad is the best in town and now one of my favorite sandwiches! Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Scratching my head as to why I haven’t eaten from here before!

Nana,s catered my grandson’s first birthday. Food was delicious. They also catered my other 2 grandson’s first birthdays. We’ve had hot food and sloppies. The blintzes were a big hit. So was the bokchoy salad. Thank you Jason

Good food but very overpriced, and then they hit you with a 3.5% surcharge for using a credit card. $18 for a sandwich??

The best deli in the area, hands down, will fight anyone who says otherwise. Beautiful vintage grandma-y atmosphere with amazing employees.

Born and raised in Livingston and surrounding area, Nanas has always been a staple. Moved to upstate NY four years ago and Nanas is still a staple! I have no problem loading up my car and cooler and heading back upstate with my goodies! Thank you Jason who is the best at customer service and a pleasure to deal with every time we get the chance to get there. There is nothing like Nanas anywhere up here! So glad I get the opportunity to get back to town a few times a year and can travel back with the best food for my family!!
