I am writing to share my experience and observations. I believe it is crucial to address certain concerns that came to my attention.I couldn't help but notice certain patterns in the organization's hiring practices that need attention. I observed a lack of diversity within the team, with a noticeable preference for hiring white individuals. It is vital to recognize that diversity brings new perspectives, creativity, and innovative solutions to the table, which are invaluable assets for achieving goals.As someone who firmly believes in the power of inclusivity, I feel it is crucial for this NPO to actively prioritize and embrace diversity. A diverse team can better understand the needs and challenges faced by the diverse communities you serve, ultimately enhancing the effectiveness of your initiatives.I would like to suggest some steps that could be taken to foster a more inclusive work environment. Encouraging diverse applicants and implementing unbiased hiring practices, such as blind resume reviews, can help ensure a fair selection process, including skipping the in-office interview. Additionally, promoting diversity training and fostering a culture of inclusion can create an environment where everyone feels valued and heard.I believe that by embracing diversity and making it an integral part of your organizational values, Jersey Cares can make an even more significant impact on the lives of those you serve. I hope you will take these suggestions into consideration and work towards creating a team that reflects the diversity of the community you aim to support.I look forward to seeing positive changes that will lead to a more inclusive and impactful future for Jersey Cares team.

Thank you JERSEY CARES for the VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES. There were times when the jobs didn't respond while I was on the job search- as far as call backs and follow ups. I was attending a program some years ago. Recently the last couple of years I've been trying to get into the habit of working again. I used to always keep a job when I was younger.MANY BLESSINGS to the entire JERSEY CARES STAFF. Once again thank you.

No one showed up from jersey care. We waited 30 mins at the assigned locatIon (2324 Kennedy Blvd, Jersey city) on Saturday June 5th, 2021. There were a total of 4 volunteers but no one from jersey care showed up to hand over the groceries we were supposed to deliver to seniors.

As a deployed military member serving in Afghanistan I was totally blown away but the care package I received today from Jersey Cares. The box was filled with snacks, toiletries, magazines etc! Myself and my fellow service men and women can not thank you enough for your generosity. Care packages like this make fighting for our freedoms back home and our allies freedoms overseas so worth the time sacrificed away from our families. Truly truly truly a fabulous thing you all did!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
