After years of putting up with terrible workmanship and customer service, I finally had enough of this company. I would not recommend them to anyone! Each year my pool was never opened correctly, and my weekly service man would sit in my driveway smoking cigarettes for 20 minutes, and then cleaning the pool for five leaving the stairs, ladder, and bottom of the pool left dirty. If you called the office to complain, whoever answered was rude and acted as if having to answer the phone was an inconvenience.This year the pool was once again opened incorrectly. They never even bothered to drain the pool below the filter box or clean the sides and bottom. I had to drain the pool myself so the chemicals would at least flow. They just threw chlorine in the pool – too lazy to use the chlorinator. When I called, their explanation was “they were shorthanded”. For the next two weeks, the pool was barely cleaned, and chlorine once again just throw in the pool instead of in the proper equipment. I had enough and canceled my contract. They charged me $900 for “opening”the pool and “cleaning” for two weeks. Crooks! Shame on them, but I guess they need the money judging by all the horrible reviews they have received. Thankfully, I found a wonderful new company. My pool has never look cleaner, and they are hundreds of dollars cheaper.Services: Cleaning

Thanks for taking thousands from me year after year only to not service because you didn’t do it last year!Spent many of days on the road caring for the sick and skip a season (using them for 4+ years)as I am a Traveling Nurse NOW they don’t have time to minimum open or at best maintain my pool!They claim they don’t have enough help any more. If the staff are treated the way the lady spoke on the phone it’s no wander they don’t have staff.Poor Excuse!Might want to consider another company that is result driven vs full of excuses! Obtain, Train, and Retain your employees by painting the Vision, Commitment, and Execution for them.Our community deserves better. Spread the word.Services: General repairs & maintenance

I had several issues with service with this company so I am writing a review. The technicians at Coastal Pools are incompetent. They installed a heater, pump and chlorinator on my pool and the chlorinator lines were a mess so they had to come back and fix them. The pump died after 3 seasons and it leaked. They came out to replace the pump, and the tech said there was nothing wrong with it, but he would fix the leak. The pool pump still leaks and the noise on the pump got worse. I called to tell them the leak wasn't fixed and the pump needed replacement. It was now urgent. They said "we're extremely busy" (who isn't?!). If you get a repair, be prepared to call them back and have them do it at least two times to get it right. They don't know what they're doing.Services: Swimming pool tile repair

I am not the usual caretaker of our pool. So when I went in and explain I had mustard colored stains on the side of the pool, the gentleman walked me thru the whole process. In 24 hours the pool was crystal clear. Thanks for the help!

Called in February to make sure my pool would be open for end of May. They came in first week in May - they could not tell me the time they would be coming on the day before my appointment. They came 4:30 pm on Friday. I pipe that they installed shot off. I had to make another service call. They came and fixed that (on a Friday) big $$$$, but then service person said he would come and install board for my heater on Tuesday (second week of May). I came to my shore house last week in May - found they never came to fix my heater, so I had to make another appointment. Said they would come on Friday before Memorial Day. I called late in the afternoon to see where they were. I was told they were in Margate (I am in Brigantine) and they were on the way. They never came. They used to be very good. Last two years service has been very poor.Last year they were supposed to open my pool. My wife scheduled it, I was not here when they came. I came down the day after they opened my pool to turn on my filter and see that I had a leak. I know they opened my pool without turning on the pump because I was not at my locked house to turn on breaker (that is inside my house). I called to complain about the leak and was told that they turned on the filter and tested it. They were not able to because my house was locked. They basically said their best man was there to do the job, and basically called me a liar. I will be changing companies.P.S. I'm guessing they are reading their reviews. An hour after I posted this, a service person (who was very nice and I liked) came out and fixed our heater.Service: Swimming pool equipment maintenance

We had them open our pool 5/27. They broke a t handle to the backwash, inserted the spa jets cockeyed, left rubber plugs in the pool walls. They left the cover connectors about ground, the sand tank rim was loose and leaked. All this without a word from the workers when they left. When I called, the female who answered the phone chastised me for calling 5 days later. I told her that I hadn’t been in the pool area until the weekend and what difference did it make when I called. She again copped an attitude . She said that she would review the paperwork AND if she found any write up’s. She would see what they would do for us…we are so done with this company.

I called to get a price on replacement filters. Of course they had them in stock but the price for 1 was as much as a case of 4 other places.

I called this company and had them do an estimate. They came to my house weeks after they were supposed to and then they never sent the estimate to me. I have reached out to them several times. They came to my house in November and now it’s March. I would not recommend this company.

I called them trying to schedule a consultation for a pool that needed alot of work. Not only did i have to chase after them to come and look at it by calling them multiple times to schedule an appt, but they also didnt bother to call me back just to let me know that they "don't want to take on the job". No other explanation given?! If they came to see it (which supposedly they did?), the least they could have done was to give me that answer themselves, not me having to chase them down for a simple No, thank you! They were very abrupt and unprofessional.

This company is a joke on May 17th told me they scheduled me for 6/1 after Memorial Day! Then I had To call 6/3 to ask are they still coming lady puts me on hold for 8 min I was Told 6/4 at 3:30 I had To contact them just to be told technician left home sick never a call never any communication then when I called They hung up on me twice lying saying their phones are having difficulty! Bad business poor customer service rude man on phone DONT USE THIS POOL CO!!!!!! Oh yea they never could seem to recall what I what I needed from them In the first place IDIOTS!
