I had booked an appointment for my birthday with Lateese for a loc retwist and loc repair. I was very disappointed in the service it almost seemed like she was rushing through my hair my parts weren't that straight but I wasn't complaining till I noticed when I got home that there were lots of locs that didn't even look like she tried to repair. I came back to the shop an hour later to see if she could fix them but she had already left for the day, so the lady at the front desk left my name and number and told me that I would get a call. Days later still waiting for that call but that told me everything I needed to know about this place, and I won't be back. Prices are expensive here but I wouldn't mind paying them if my hair actually felt cared for, but lesson learned.

Got my silk press done here and the service was amazing and so was my hairstylist! 100% would recommend coming here!

When I booked 10 o’clock appointment told receptionist I had to open a store for work at 11, was only getting silk press, saw my stylist when I signed in she seemed pissed off like she didn’t like the fact that I was honest about telling receptionist I had time restraints, (I’m off sun an Monday only) another client arrived after me an her stylist took her right away, while I saw my stylist doing intentional busy work cleaning stuff while she knew I had time restraints, very ignorant ghetto vibe of a thing to do, I tipped her $20 hoping to make her feel bad for her intentional rude behavior! Won’t be going back here EVER!!!!

I am a post pandemic transplant from Brooklyn,NY. I had missed the convenience of going to the beauty parlor with ease. New Jersey it is different. I found Jana's Hair Salon. It was the BEST fit for me. They understand natural hair. They understood what I was asking for with my natural hair. Frankly, I was happy with my hair. I was happy with the service.
Note: Everything is done online. There is a deposit. If you don't keep the appointment you have to cancel within 2 days of your scheduled time.The services are selected individually. (à la carte), if you mess up your order no worries they will make the correction. Yes, this salon also has a school separate from the salon.

girl my sister went here JUST TODAY wanting a simple wash, blow dry, and designer cut. she even had a reference picture as to how she wanted it, but it’s A MESS. the back was cut wayyyy too short while the front is much longer. the ends look like they were chopped up rather than cut properly or layered. whoever did it got real scissor happy n needs to go back to training. $80 was NOT worth the service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!

This is the second time I brought by daughter to Jana’s hair studio. Both times were great! This was the first hair salon I brought my daughter to after having a horrible experience at a different one years ago. We were so nervous but everyone in this hair studio is so sweet and welcoming. The salon is extremely clean and the waiting area is very comfortable. This will be our go to salon going forward. My daughter got braids the first time and this time it was a wash, straightening, and trim. My daughter LOVES her hair and she’s constantly running her fingers through it. Thank you Jana’s Hair Studio for welcoming us and making us feel so comfortable!Services: Hair straightening
