Judy was incredibly helpful in finding the perfect pet for my new home! I made an appointment with Judy and she allowed me to have 1 on 1 time with a few cats until I found Tom! The process was fairly quick and thorough to ensure their rescues go to a good home. Thank you again Judy!

Wonderful caring staff that really knows the cats in their care. We exchanged terrific and informative texts before we went there with Judy Vito, who knew the cat we ended up adopting very well. Because Nova is an older cat, we asked to see bloodwork before making the trip from Manhattan and this was provided promptly and graciously. We also never felt pressure to adopt. The setup for each cat is also nice, with a hammock in each cage. An excellent shelter, with beautiful cats and knowledgeable and kind volunteers. They also participate in the Seniors for Seniors program, with reduced fees when seniors adopt a senior cat. We were sent home with a goody bag, with dry and wet food, a few toys, a blanket, and even a small bag of litter. Highest recommendation.

Unprofessional!!! My mom recently applied to adopt a cat. In the email the staff for the agency was very abrasive to my mom concluding that my mom does not own the house because the name on the house differs from her name on the application. My mom had a legal name change hence the name difference however the staff could have asked my mom for additional proof instead on concluding that my mom does not own her home. Rude!!!

We had the best experience adopting our first cat from FOLAS and Judy! She is incredibly passionate on ensuring the animals she works with are placed in a loving home, and that their new owners know as much as possible before they come home.I reached out post adoption for small questions and Judy has been incredibly supportice and helpful. Best decision we ever made. Thank you FOLAS!!!

this shelter is awesome! very clean, organized, and volunteers are super nice and sweet. this is the first shelter to ever properly reach out to us and we’re really grateful for that! we ended up taking this gorgeous little tortie home and she’s warmed up to us very quickly❤️thank you folas for all your help! hope the other cats find a forever home very soon :)

We adopted my girl, Rise, from FOLAS back in 2015. The people who work here are very kind and deeply care for the cats and dogs they take care of. We adopted my childhood cat from them back in 2006. I am so grateful I had all of those wonderful years with my old cat, Dallas.They are appointment only right new due to COVID, but you're still able to schedule a meet and greet with their cats. The volunteers will walk you through the meet and greet and will find the perfect cat for your situation. I recently visited with a friend who was ready to welcome a cat into his family, and we were able to find him a great furry companion.I love how this shelter is a no-kill shelter too. They will take care of their elderly cats and give them a warm and loving place to call home for the rest of their days. The volunteers work diligently when determining the best home possible for their cats and dogs, and I really appreciate that.Whenever we are looking for a new furry friend to add to our household, I'll definitely be stopping by FOLAS.

Wonderful place! Wonderful people! This shelter is very clean & organized. The care, concern & love they show for the animals is amazing! I highly recommend this place if you are considering adding a new fur baby (or babies) to your family. I adopted one last week. The process was very easy. After seeing the facility & how much they care for the animals there, I just went back & adopted #2! Thank you to Judy for going above and beyond for Toby & me. And thank you to Cathy & All the volunteers for all the wonderful work you do & the love you show to all the animals.
